Got three calls from this number.  They left a message saying "This is your final notice from the Internal Revenue Services we are filing a law suite against you." Call immediately.  I knew it had to be a scam because no written notice was received. Also they used my cell number and not my home number.

I received the same call from 253-214-4667 -- "final notice, IRS law suit, call immediately..." and no answer when I called back.  I would appreciate any assistance in filing charges against this caller -- my home phone is tied up with medical emergencies these days...

Contact a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction for help.  No one here is going to give you legal advice via the Internet, especially since doing so may subject an attorney to charges of the Unauthorized Practice of Law where you are at.  (Your anonymous post doesn't even tell us what state you are in.)

You could try getting a free referral from your state's bar association, a local bar association, or a local college's legal clinic.  You may also qualify for free ("pro bono") legal help in your circumstances.

Otherwise, it is worth reminding you that free legal advice you receive over the Internet is worth every penny you pay for it.

I got the same call today.  Glad to hear it's a scam attempt.  I don't play games with my taxes or the IRS, so no idea why they'd ever sue me, but of course I was freaking out when the call came in.

I got a call from people with phoney Indian accents telling me that I had committed fraud and that the IRS is ready to take me to court for miscalculations between 2008 and 2013. They said they sent 2 letters and It all sounded legal except when I called back Michael Lee asked for my phone number instead of my social. He also asked for my cell phone number and I was to go to the bank and he would guide me from there via my cell.  When I finally refused Ray Ramora said the Marshall would be at my door to arrest me within 45 minutes. Also, since when did the IRS not take credit cards?

also got the same call from but from 1-933-567-3691, stating the IRS has filed a suit against me and to call 253-214-4667.

The FTC is aware of this number, in fact they tried to scam the FTC.

The number the "IRS" wanted me to call was 866-978-8483. I went on the FTC website to report the scammers leaving messages on my landline phone, and they listed the number 253-214-4667 as being tied to the IRS scam as well. So far they haven't tried my cell, but the day ain't over yet...
Blocked both numbers. Don't get fooled by these lowlifes- and don't give out any personal information over the phone!

This is not the IRS it's a scam the IRS will not call anybody. Threatening calls are against the law.
