A male going by the name of 'Daniel' called stating he was from Microsoft Technical Department and needed me to turn my computer so he could clear a virus off my computer, he told me I must follow his instructions immediately or my computer would crash, he kept telling me that it was urgent.  I googled "microsoft technical department", they had warnings of scams of this nature.  'Daniel' gave me this number to call him back, I explained my husband would call him back.  When I phoned a few minutes later to confirm the number, 'Daniel' answered with a simple 'hello', he did not identify himself in the greeting, a little odd.  SCAM.

i just got it too... yep big scam!!

My mom had the same call as well and called me to ask about it.  Microsoft would never do such a thing, they don't care about the security of all their customer's computers.  I hope the police can deal with this!

hey its me daniel and i am not a scam just like khan is not a terrorist, and whoever is telling this wants to ruin my reputation

Hey - Just got the same call - asked to talk to their supervisor, they even called me back. he was asking me to log him in remotely as only he could solve the problem with my computer. Total SCAM!!! Do not reveal any personal information to these guys.

Just got a call from this number, the guy had a very thick acent and said his name was Brad Williams, he gave this number to verify and he gave me his employee #1121. He stated I had a virus and I needed to get to the computer. he stated that all my passwords, banking information was being broadcast over the internet.
When checking my computer after the call, I had a virus "autoir" a trojan in my system.

The fellow that called me today could barely speak English. Said he was in Washington DC and the US Government wants to give me $8400.00. He gave me a ID # GT207 and told me to call this number to verify my name etc. I did  NOT call the number. Can these calls be blocked...???

I was told to call this number after being told I won some loyalty Grant money that I could use for anything I wanted except illegal activities, I found some of the questions interesting then I called the number back as it just rang and rang,a guy name Brad Marshall was suppose to answer but didn't so I would assume it is a scam!

I tried the number one more time just to see what would happen and finally got a make claiming to be Brad Marshall, he proceeded to tell me I won some money the verification that it was a scam is when he asked me if I have a one time only $200 processing fee so he could release funds I supposedly won. I said he could take it out of the money I won and of course that was not possible.Lol, watch out for these kinds of calls and never give them any money. The number is a company called West Telecom Inc. Based in Kent,WA.

Daniel called and tried to scam me for money.  I called his line back blocking my number every 2 minutes and asked to speak to "Monkey- F***er".    He got pretty fed up after an hour.

Received a call perform a guy with a heavy accent claiming that I was selected to receive $8,400 in government grant money.  The number was blocked on my cell phone, so I asked him why, he said that he couldn't control that and it was normal.  He said that I could receive the money either through direct bank transfer or to a credit card (or by simply picking it up at my local Western Union!). Of course, they KNOW that people aren't stupid enough to give out their bank info, so I asked him why they couldn't just cut me a US treasury check?  He said that was not an option at this time.  So, I took down the approval ID number and the phone number. One quick search of the number turned this page up.  Total scammers.  Not even going to bother calling...
