Got a call from a heavily accented man claiming to be from Washington DC and giving out "Good Citizen Grants" he wants the person to call back to this number 253-271-4485 with a special code that he gives you for the grant. Beware they are going to want money I believe to release the grant money...be careful!

I received a call from this number saying they were a "Good citizen grant"  from the Treasury Department in Washinton and that I was elegible for a grant of $9,000.00, that I have to call this number 253-271-4485 and provide a confirmation number to get the money. If you know anything else about this scam please, let me know.

received a call from a blocked number.  Heavily accented lady claimed to be from the US government department of grants and treasury and that I had been chosen for a free grant of over $9000 on which no taxes would be owed. I believe my voice was being recorded and her script was designed to elicit a "yes" response to any of the several questions she tried to ask me. When I would not cooperate in that way, she gave me this number to call and a code.

I got call from the sea number with lady she had heavy accent and the funny part when I ask her why u aren't showing ur number if u work for government she told me oh I am calling u from computer and I was like yeah wow that mean u are scammer she was like no I can't show u the number cause I am calling you from government phone blaaa blaaa , when I told her that I will call 911 and report you she was quite for moment and I told her where are u she said oh I was listening to you man just be carful cause they tried so hard to get me !!!!

Received a call from an unknown caller said his name was David Anderson (of course not) and said I was selected to receive a government grant for $9,400. Asked about my banking account and if I had a visa card. And then went on asking about my job (he actually had some of my work info.) He went on to mention my home address, I told him what he had was correct (of course he was WRONG!) I just went with it. I told him I wasn't going to give him any account information. If I had to pay for the money, to just take it out of the money he was giving me. He said he couldn't do that, then I said write me a check and send it to me, he said "I'm not authorized to do that!" He said he could western union it to me, but I had to call his verification manager. I said what's his name, he gave me like 3 names all ran together, I asked which one is it? He said to take it serious, don't you need this money for bills, debt and other things, well then call 253-271-4485, I said I hope you're not scamming (of course I knew he was) cause yes I can use the money, so I called and no one answered - of course! I know he didn't plan for that call to go that way....
