- Chatty CathyReceived a call from this number. I didn't answer it because it came across as unavailable. A voice message said to call this number. When I did, a man with a very heavy accent wanted to know what number called me and what my number was. I then hung up.
- Harry FlashmanCaller left a message that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me and to call this number. It was an automated voice.
Yeah...right. The IRS...I think not. - Annie BakAlso got an automated voice saying IRS has filed a law suit against me...yeah, sure they did...
- Call type: Prank
- RichMy message also said the IRS had filed a lawsuit against me.
- DonI got the same message.
- Caller: "It's"
- H. Price Poole, Jr.I got a similar call. The person identified herself as "Van Cooper" an "officer" from the "Internal Revenue Services" ID number 0129970. She said I would be served with an arrest warrant tomorrow. I informed her I intended to report the information to IRS and disconnected.
- Caller: "Internal Revenue Services"
- DaveRecorded voice saying its filed lawsuit

- Caller: supposedly the irs
- Don't be fooledGot the same type of call as others. Heavy accent, IRS phone scam demanding I pay over $5000 in fees for miscaluated tax returns from 2008-2013. threatened police would be sent immediately to arrest me if the call got disconnected. Tried phishing for my personnal information. The more I refused to provide info, the more angry & abusive he became, even dropped the "F-Bomb" numerous times.
- ColleenAutomated message -- so I came to the internet to find out more. Thanks, everyone! I'm sure the IRS would pre-warn me about a lawsuit via telephone. Bizarre. But fear works in America.
- Caller: IRS has filed a lawsuit against me
- KenReceived a call today with a prerecorded message saying the IRS has filed suit against me and said to call 253-292-3889.
- Caller: Private caller
- RepThis is a SCAM! Do not let this fake recording about a lawsuit scare you. The IRS does not call people. They would send US mail and more than likely certified is a lawsuit had been filed. This is a scam, do not give these people ANY personal information, if it WAS the IRS (it is not), they already have all your personal information!
- Caller: Private
- LauraSame! "Unknown" caller. Automated voice. Left a voicemail saying "...filed lawsuit against you." The beginng was cyt off but based on this board am guessing IRD said to call 253-292-3889. Yeah right. Reporting.
- Caller: "Unknown"
- Frenchie| 1 replyWe got the message on our machine. I called our local TV station and they are going to investigate and warn people about this SCAM. Yes, it is a SCAM. The station also said to notify the police. If these people can be tracked down they will be arrested. What they are doing is a crime!!!!

- G replies to FrenchieSame here same message called back no one answered sounded like a fax number 253-292-3889.
- MikeReceived a pre-recorded message requesting me to call 253-292-3889 because the IRS was taking legal action against me. Call came in from an "unknown" number. This was the second such call. I received another scam call from a heavily accented women from another number profiled on this website. Thanks to the folks who make this scam website available! Can someone stop, arrest, fine, these jerks.....
- Caller: IRS?
- MJSaid it was the IRS...same as the previous callers. Left a message on answering machine. Goggled the number and led me to here. Thanks for posting warnings.
- Caller: IRS
- Unknown CalleeSImilar message left on my phone. I called the number (highly suspecting it was fraudulent) and it appears to be disconnected now. If it was really the IRS, then if you called back, they should know who you are and all about you just from your phone number. Unfortunately, other people may know more about you from your phone number too. In the case of the IRS, they should also know a lot about your tax return info (without you providing more than your phone number) if you wanted to verify it was them. A friend of mine got a call like this and called and got a similar story as the above ones, and when they threatened to call the police, told them that was fine since it would save him the trouble of calling them himself!
- Caller: IRS? Well I doubt it. More like con artitsts.
