Yah, they are phishing. It's a total scam. They are calling many people using numbers that they change (cell phones, pay as you go more than likely) frequently. They look for those who hear the message and say, OH NO... I better call and fix this. Then, they give away information and get screwed. I hate the state of affairs anymore. Where idiots like this prey on those who may be slightly slow or uninformed.

I have been getting so many of these calls from all over the U.S.
This is yet another number from the same people, I'm assuming. Instead of a real person on the line this time it was a recording to make it sound official and scary.  It said to press "1" to speak to a customer service agen.  I pressed it so I can rip this agent a new ASS**** but got disconnected. I called back and I can't get in touch with anyone. Again a recording, where I have one option, which is to press 1, which will add me to the organization's do not call list. What if I was the idiot that wanted to give my credit card info to these people and needed to talk to someone.  

(If you are someone from this bogus organization reading this, you are most likely some ugly pervert sitting at home in his underwear doing God knows what, who was picked on in high school, and is sick in the head. You are worthless, and a waste of precious oxygen on this planet. I'm laughing at you, dummy.)

I'm so tired of these credit card services calling me.  Don't they have enough wisdom
if I want my credit card lower I will go to the proper people and certainly not on the phone to
a stranger.

Get a life. When I see this # I let the answering. Machine do its thing.

Card services continues to call my home phone 815-XXX-XXXX with their recorded last offer to reduce my credit card interest rates providing that I meet certain criteria. I am instructed to press 1 to take advantage of this offer and speak to their representative. I press 1 and a rep answers asking if I want to take advantage of their offer. I try to tell them that I am on the do not call list and for them to take me off of their calling list. Before I can get this out of my mouth, they hang up on me. I asked that they be fined or reprimanded and take me off their list for future calls. I have received calls from them often in the past but they continue to call and they continue to slam the phone down on me. I have no known affiliation with this company. I see on the internet that many other people are having the same problem.

I've gotten 4 phone calls from this number 253 382-9092 sense yesterday.
The first phone call came on 2/9/12 around 8:45AM the second call came on 2/10/12 at around 9:30AM,third call came 2/10/12 1:30PM and te forth call 2/10/12 5:08PM.

The person who owns this # appears to actually be Stephen Hamilton with a company called PacficTel not the phone company but a scammer telemarketing company. Mr. Hamilton's direct personal # is 310-895-0574 - feel free to call him and harass him right back. The address associated with PacificTel is 12228 Venice Blvd. #559 Los Angeles CA 90066 - a scummy apartment area in East LA. Emailed the Mt state attorney generals office about them, this is the response: Thank you for your information. Over time, we have received several complaints like yours. Upon investigation, we have found that these 406 area code numbers belong to an out-of-state company that either purchased or leased the Montana phone number from a telemarketing company that purchased it from a Los Angeles based competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) named Pacific Telecom. I've gotten so many of these calls and the only remedy that works for me is to just block them.  If your phone service doesn't provide that feature, find one that does.

i do not want this number calling my house, they were trying to get info by saying i was having trouble with my internet.

The 12228 Venice Blvd. address listed isn't 'bad apartments', it's listed as a mailbox rental place; 'Ste. 559' is common naming for those boxes.

I saw a 'Venice Blvd. Near the home address listed above, last sold in 1998 so the same people still own it.

If any of the telemarketing victims can get to these places...

I added a 'yelp.com' review of the mailbox place noting who they are helping.

I've taken to wasting their time when they call - feign interest, indicate you might have plenty of credit card debt and want to hear more about their offer. Get past their screener.

Have them talk as long as you can before they get it and hang up.

As far as the solution being to block them - it's terrible, I see posters 2 minute and seven minutes before my post - it's not that effective.

I have blocking and it only has 12 spots, long filled up, and these people call from different numbers all the time from around the country. If I had hundreds of spots it might help.

How do people get info like the 'real address' on Ocean View Ave., or his cell phone number, listed above? That's very good info, it'd be nice to know how to get it for telemarketers.

I called the cell # listed above. Its voicemail says 'if you are calling Pacific telecom call 360 328 8000 and press option 2'.

Note: if you don't want him having your number on caller id, if you have the service for anonymous calling, press *67 before your call and your caller id will not be sent to him.

I'm getting an air horn to keep by the phone.  Can't be a telemarketer if you're DEAF.

They keep calling me as well. What a scam. Thank goodness there are more and more people out there who know exactly what this is and will never fall for it.

One of the other features on your phone is "Selective Call Fowarding". You can program (253)382-9092 to have it fowarded to any other number. I suggest another scammers number, or a company you know is out of business, or- if you really want to have some fun- foward it right back to Mr. Hamilton at the number provided above.

Call from this number no message left,    DNC is worhtless....   Think I'll give them Pelosi's number to call me back on ----- baaaa   haaaaaa !!!!!!
