This is about my credit card service, the last call they will make, blah blah. When I call back, the number is not in service.

Received call at 10:00 am on 8/8/11.

Call is made to sound as though it is credit collection call, but in reality for credit card. Message is roughly "our attempts to contact you have not been answered. This is absolutely your last chance to receive a card card and consolidate your debt . . . . .

We are on the do not call list and have no prior relationship with this company/

Likely scam.

I have been receiving a call from this number quite often.  I try to call it back, and get a recording that this number can not be completed.  I am on the "no call" list.

I've received a couple of dozen 'final' calls from this number.  A few minutes ago I listened to the entire message then pressed 1 to speak to someone.  A woman answered the phone with "Credit Card Services" and that was it.  I responded with "Please stop calling me.  Please remove my phone number from your calling list."  She then asked me if I wanted to lower the interest on my credit cards and I told her I never carry a balance on mine.  Then she hung up on me.  I've searched the internet to find out who the company is and only get web sites that'll charge me $2 to get the information.  They aren't worth the $2.  But when I get my next "final notification" I'll again press 1 to speak to someone until I get them to remove my number and stop calling me, or until I get their company name.

Got a call today at 3:40 PM. Did not answer. Have stopped answering any numbers I do not know.  Have a machine set on 6 rings and if someone I don't know wants me they can leave a message.

235 414-6649 - I answered call; this is my last chance to take advantage of their offer to lower my credit card interest rate.  I find that odd since I do not/have not paid any credit card interest for years. I punched "1" and was told to please hold as my call was very important to them.  Waited for a representative to come on the line.  I asked him to remove my phone number.  He said that he was sorry but he had not control over who the computer called.

Did not answer the call and they left no message.  Tried to call back and just got a 'fast busy' signal.

Received a call on my cell from this number and did not answer. They did not leave a message.

My scenario is pretty much the same as these past complaints.  I have received over 30 calls which my caller ID describes as "Out of Area".  Today I answered, pushed 1 and a woman answered.  I asked "Who are you"?  She asked if I wanted to lower my interest rate.  I said "No... Who are you" again.  She hung up.  I am on the do not call list.  Looking up the number, I found this website.  Appreciate the info here.

Be sure to alert family and friends about this scam. They will try to get your personal information such as credit card numbers, date of birth, etc.

They are after your passwords also.

We have had more than 6 calls from these people.  When you try to tell them to take you off of their list they either hang up on you in mid-sentence or they get ugly....

We want these calls to stop...

I just got a call from this #. Been getting these from various numbers over the past 6 months. This one was just silent when I answered it.  The call came in around 4:30 PM CST.

I just received a call from this # too.  Didn't answer it. They didn't leave a message (recorded or otherwise).  Glad I didn't bother to answer - sounds like a mess.

this is from leverage communications, they are likely obfuscating the phone number.  here is a writeup from the consumerist:

they are most definitely a scam:  please note that all calls like this are scams -- no legitimate business would operate this way.

Received a call from this number yesterday and I decided to direct connect with them so I waited for the customer service rep.  Once he got on the phone, he used verbage like "check it out" and he never identified himself other than "cardmember services."  My gut told me to hang up and not disclose any info.  Very much a scam.  I did give out my zip code initially but then stopped when he didn't have any info back for me.  I hope they can't do anything with that info.  

For anyone who received these calls, I'd definitely give a word of advice and say that if you feel like the person is being too impersonal and not professional enough, then you should just hang up.  If you really think it might be your credit card company, then just call your credit card company immediately following hanging up.

Just got a call from this number. No response.

I have gotten several calls from this number.  They do not leave a message and listne for a short time before hanging up on me when I do answer.

Hits both home and cell phone.  It's hard to have a debit card that's been cancelled when you don't even have a card from that financial institution.  It's a SCAM and don't give out any personal info.  If you do, you'll risk having some real credit problems.  If you do want to have fun, act real and then give them some real bogus information.  Like your local police department's address, phone number etc...   Let them start messing with the right (wrong) people.

No doubt a robot calling system, using a skype like software with a phony number as a caller id.

It is most likely looking for active phone numbers to sell,

and the other scam phase of getting you to all about your credit card.

I never answer an unknown number, thus, I only get one maybe two call, then they drop me.
