I received a call from 2024564545 from a man who seemed to have an Arabian accent.. He told me to call 2536565109 to claim $7000 in federal grant which I wouldn't have to pay back... When I called the number they told me I neede to go to the nearest walgreens and put 200 on a card and then they would western union me the money.... I think it's a scam...

Totally a scam, I just got the exact same phone call. First off, why would a government so much in debt randomly give away $7000 to 50,000 families? Then there was the fact that they ask you to give them your info, also that you have to call someone else who you would probably also have to give your personal info to. The icing on the cake, of course, was that they can only give you the money through either western union or direct deposit. Definitely a scam. How do we report these numbers to the police?

So this number called me. Tall really think it is a scam.  . I accidentally have them my account number.  That's about it nothing more.  Toy think they can f me over? . What should I do

They claim to be for the United Federal Grant Department having strong accents saying their names are Joe Johnson and Lebron James. Let's put these people behind bars trying to rip off hard working Americans !!!

I was called from (202) 456-4545 also saying I was  chosen to receive grant money and to call 253-656-5109 and give them my reference number and info. How else can we report these people???? I could barely understand what they were saying to begin with. He had a middle Eastern accent.

I Got a call from 202-456-4545 saying that the Goverment was giving me a grant of 7,000 and that i should call 253-656-5109 with a money card ID No. and they would sent me the money by western gram.  I think this is some type of scam, why would the Goverment give me money, when there is so many in need of money in USA.  If anybody gets a call from such Number dont bother calling and just ignore who ever is calling, all they want is to tried to get money from people that might think this is legite.

I got the same call something needs to be done about this. I was scamed kind of like this about 10 years ago I will never let it happen again. Sure would be nice if it was real but I know its not.

Just received the same call. The call was dropped but they still attempted to call back three more times. The last attempt came from a different (818) number. This is a definite scam.

I got dat same call but I got a name and extension number from a guy name Sean Johnson. He read all my information back to me and told me da same about $200, also said it was from the government from me paying off all my debts when I filed my taxes.....idk but I'm glad I still have my money

I got a private call that said I could receive a grant for 7000 and all I had to do was call 347 3806682 so I called they sent me to go get a money oak of 150 took the money them told me to call 3475354487 I called them and they wanted 250 and I said no and hung up then they proceed to call with the 2536565109 saying that they could cancel but there would be a 100 dollar fee so I got scammed and there really should be something done about this

I have been scammed but these ppl from a 3475354487 number as well as another number they took $100 from me then asked for an additional 300 for IRS tax fees or something of that sort. How do I report this and get this to be stopped

when I called after I read about the number on this site they called me back because I've never called through with the 253 number and I said I know you're a scam and if my government wanted me to have money as a felon they would call me or write me a letter formally and I wouldn't I wouldn't get the money because I don't and I said but when we catch you [***] you're going to pay us back and he said to me that he was going to [***] my black [***] and when I said I'm not black he said your name is Micah right in las Vegas..were gonna get you. I said this call is being recorded. He repeated me and hung up

yeah I just got a call from from that number they said they are from New York and then and they had a grant for $7,000 they want to give me they told me to go down to CVS or family Dollar and and get a green dot card or green card something weird in a Visa Mastercard or no numbers or nothin like that on it told me to put $250 on it and then they would send me the $7,000 that minute but I think its a scam

Yes, this is a scam. They told me the samething they told you guys. They told me to go to Walgreens and buy a Green Dot Money card and load it with $200 and call him back after I have purchased the card. If the government was gonna give you money, all they need to do is send you a check. This is definitely a scam.

I was called unknown and was asked to call the 253# right bk and give them a process code that a foreign lady gave.i had no intentions of giving my info but i did call the number....no answers!  Scam scam scam. How are they getting our contact information anyway?

Thick accents and they are reading off a script. I asked them a couple questions and they kept saying the same thing. I mistakenly gave my account number, while trying to look up whether they were a scam and I hung up after they started talking about how I would need to pay them money first before receiving anything. Definitely a scam

I got multiple automated calls saying it was the IRS and they were going to file a claim on me.
