This number has called twice in the last 10 minutes.  No message left and because I can't find a legitimate company associated with this number, I'm blocking it.

Common scam I've heard over the past few years, only this was the poorest attempt I've ever heard. They say there's a serious issue with your computer (usually claiming to be windows tech support). They'll ask you to navigate through your computer settings to mess with you. At least have a joke at their expense before hanging up!

The calls are from scammers in India who change the spoofed number they use every 3 to 20 days.  Their pattern is to call on 'bursts', that is call every day (up to 3 times a day) for 3 - 5 days (sometimes using different numbers), stop for a few days, then repeat.  

Besides BEAR COM appearing on your phone's I.D., I have seen the following over the past 12 months -

If anyone knows how to cuss in Hindi, please post how to say it phonetically as I'd love to tell the scumbag what I think of him, his mother and the cow she rode into town on.

Caller stated there were several error messages from my computer while browsing the internet. I asked for the company name (Electronic blah blah blah). I asked him how in the F*CK they could have such information, as I have no contract with said company. Caller then stated (repeatedly), "so you want to [***]?"

I have reported to Do Not Call... whatever good that will do.

So, this guy says' you have a problem with your computer' and i ask him how he knows that- babble babble - and of course there is so much noise in the background it's hard to hear his actual spiel

Got a call from them today.  Could barely understand the person as their English was horrific.  She said, My name Jessica.  I said, Yes, and?  She said you have a problem with your computer?  I said, I think you're a liar.  And she hung up!  
The call came from the above number and Puyallup, Washington was listed on the caller ID.  

The # called me to tell me that I am due for a refund of $199 but I have to be at the computer to receive their code. Yadayada

got a call from 253-693-5598 today at approximately 5:23 pm. I said hello about 3 times and no one answered and there was no noise at all, then they hung up. I tried to call it back to give them a piece of my mind and an error message came through saying that this number was either disconnected or unavailable. Annoying!

I received 7 calls from this # in the past 2 days.  I NEVER answer calls from numbers that I do not recognize.  Am sure  that this is a scam.  

These people don't give up. Have called many times, now I have them on block.  Just called again at 8:30 am and two days ago at 10 pm.
What can I do to stop them.

I received 4 calls in a row just now 3pm. msg left was "beep".

Caller ID says "Puyallup WA". Won't leave a message.

call was the "Windows technical department scam"

I just received a call from the same number. He stated he was from Windows Microsoft and that my computer had been sending error message over the last couple of weeks and my computer was in serious danger. I asked if he could read my ip address and of course he failed. Then he was saying he could navigate me through my computer to pull up an id number. I told him that I can't trust him and believe it was a scam. He said their wasn't anything he could do from where he is. Yeah whatever he was going to guide me through would have been me actually doing it.

this person with poor English skills had the nerve to call here at 11:28pm! I picked it up because of the late hour even though it said UNKNOWN CALLER with the phone number on my caller ID. This man kept saying we are calling because there is a problem with ,my computer, and I said "do you know the time it is?" And he said yes, I said its 11:30 at night and this is too late! He said mam we are calling this late because it's a very urgent matter! He told me there is a major problem with my computer! I told him that was weird because I don't have a computer and he hung up! Guess I've got another phone number to block!

They have my name and a vague but accurate knowledge of who I bank with. They say I paid money to Windows 6 years ago for some crap and they're giving me a refund. The first time they called I listened and dedeclined to provide information. The second time in told them that they've called before and I wasn't falling for it then the caller told me to "f*** off" I replied "you called me! Why are you telling me to f*** off you piece of trash?" He then told me to suck his d*** and then I hung up. They just called me again today after a few weeks of silence to which I reminded them of the last call. The caller, who could've been the person who has called me before (all mildly racist tones aside I couldn't tell the difference with them having such a heavy accent) told me this is the first time he's called me to which I responded bulls**t and not to call me again
I don't have much money for them to take anyways but it's just scary and maddening that these people are such a$$ holes that I have to fear for my financial security as if walking with a bag of cash through a gang infested neighborhood.  I hate having to think about these people calling me or having general information about myself and my finances. It's just scary.

2536935598 just called me - I didn't pick up.  I called the number back from a landline at work and the number is disconnected/ no longer in service.

Called on 10/22 @ 1:05pm. I looked it up to see what I could find. This is what I found:  .puyallup-tribe.com ...
Showed an Indian Tribe with this name. They did not leave any message, as I wouldn't expect they will.
