Caller with a thick Indian accent saying I owed the IRS over $3000 dollars. He told me documents were sent and I didn't respond. Kept talking about my attorney. My boyfriend tried to tell him what he needed to do was send the documents via certified mail with the USPS, but everytime my boyfriend tried to speak to him, he would say "hello? You are breaking up". Finally I said I want to speak with your supervisor. He said "you want to speak to my supervisor?" I said "yes" he said "may I ask why?" I said "because I want to" he mumbled some stuff about why I couldn't. I said I wanted to speak with someone else. He mumbled something about sending warrants. I told him to go ahead.

It says there are 3 warrants for my or someone in the house arrest but little to no further information. What is this?  They hung up before I could retain information and when you call back, they have a voicemail that doesn't say much either ABD just hangs up..  They sure know how to get your attention.

This guy is totally a scam.  Do not give your information.  I let him go through the whole process to play along.

So it's not just me. They called me today and I wouldn't even let them read me the "affidavit" they said they had. I said I'd call the IRS directly.

I received a phone call about 2 hours ago and it went to voicemail because I'm a teacher. The message was half over when I pushed play (robot call) and said to "not ignore this call and call back". When I tried to call back, I got "not available" so I looked up the number and saw all the scams attached to it. Called back and he asked if I was "Kristin ____", I said yes and he told me that he was calling on behalf of the IRS and was I aware of this. Ummm my taxes are on point and everything owed has been paid. He told me I needed a criminal lawyer for my case and wanted to read me some affidavit. He told me not to interrupt him, I did anyway before he could talk and told him I was going to call the IRS directly. He said "ummm" and I hung up.

I actually work for the IRS. I think I would  know  if  I  owed them money. This is a scam. The  irs  would  never  contact you this way. They would send correspondence boss certified mail.  Do  not give these parasites any of your info

Left a very forceful message that it was in my best interests to call him back.  The message was as if the first part hadn't been recorded by the answering machine so it piqued your interest.  When I got thru 4 days later he began by telling me he was with "the federal tax people" (first off, who the hell is that) then he started to tell me I was being audited and I told him kiss my f@#%^& [***] and hung up.  What a scam!

I was called by these fraudulent people today. The guy claimed to be an IRS agent doing a criminal investigation.  I am an accountant and my tax payments are current. I recognized this as fraud immediately.  I reported this call to http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam_ok.shtml  It is a felony to impersonate the IRS.  Please make a report to this website, it is The Treasurer Inspector General for Tax Administration.  Please help get these scammers arrested!!

In addition to reporting these scammers to https://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml please also report them to https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1  This is the Federal Trade Commission's IRS Telephone Scam reporting website.  Do not give them any information or money, report them, so they can be charged for the felonies that they are committing.

Same thing happened to me. I got a voicemail from an Indian woman saying something about the IRS and that I had to call back. Then I called back and spoke to a Nigerian man. He said he was with the IRS and there was a warrant for my arrest. Said they sent something to my old address (like 3 years old) a few months back. Said the police will arrive at 6pm (it was 3pm when they called) and that I needed a lawyer because I owned $3200. Wouldn't tell me what form I filled out incorrectly. He also added that I was breaking up.
