Baylor university calling to tell me things and ask for money. No thanks. As soon as my 100k degree form baylor allows me to get a job, then i might think about donating... probably to UT just to spite.

Maybe it's not the degree that's not getting you a job, but your chosen field of study or your grades.  Just maybe...

Or maybe it's his attitude at well keeping him from getting a job! Just saying!

You guys hang in there with the jobhunting. You are graduating at a bad time, but that Baylor degree will pay off eventually. Can't tell you how many employers I've heard say give a choice, they'll hire Baylor every time.

Don't ever go to a private school for undergrad. You'll spend the rest of your life begging your employers to pay for grad school. You've been warned.

Putting Kenn Starr, the guy who tried to impeach Bill Clinton for a [***], in Baylor presidency has sealed their fate with me. If I ever give any money it will be to some other University, probably UT. I would have gone somewhere else if I knew beforehand how lowbrow they would go.

. . . or maybe he can't get a job because of his ruined credit rating from defaulting on his 100K student loan after losing his job in 2008 when his employer wasn't deemed "too big to fail", or in the 2000-2001 dot.com collapse. The possibilities boggle the mind really. This student loan ponzi scheme is just another way to enslave the young before they actually have any perspective to understand the economic bubble fraud game. Seriously, unless you or your parents are independently wealthy already, or your a good enough test taker to get free-and-clear scholarships, go to a community college for two years and then finish off at a public university.

I am not giving any more money to them for the ridiculous tuition they charge.. I'm done, paid off, and going on with my life after paying the 100k tuition... For Allen up there:

Perhaps your rotten attitude isn't helping you get a job.  I have a degree from Baylor and have found it to be a huge asset.

Yes the call was from Baylor and yes they are trying to raise money.  No need to throw rocks at Baylor for your own situation. Every university in the country calls alumni trying to solicit donation.  Your degree is only a ticket to ride the train; your destination depends on YOU!

Wow! A college calling its alumni for financial support. Stop the presses! Oh the horror and the injustice. Some people are just pathetic whiners.

Glad to find out this is Baylor. I won't answer it. Yes, I graduated in 2001. I got one job because of my degree. After a year I was laid off. I've been making pennies at crap jobs ever since because of the awful economy. I don't blame Baylor, I got a great education there. But I still owe a huge amount of money. I wish they'd do more to help their graduates no matter how long they've been gone.

The "Robo" calls started on June "13th" of 2013. Said calls are for the almighty buck. Never a student, I made a donation to Baylor University in 2012. My donation didn't go where I expected it to. Btw....... for my donation, I received an official simulated leather Baylor book mark. "Wow.....Golly Gee....Super" And, after all the continuing annoying calls, I could care less about this place of learning.

The "call type" box (below) is missing one: Donations ala request for money. "UNKNOWN" doesn't cut it.

Nothing more than a scam

Glad to find out who was calling.  I believe an undergrad degree should not be your final goal; I look back and think it was just a unnecessary step I had to take.  Gone are the days where a College Degree signified success on its own. Not anymore!  The whole education system needs to be changed; that is start by decreasing the emphasis on socialization in high school and add the academic requirements one needs for the chosen field of study.  Some countries make high school 6 years but you take your "college basics" there instead of additionally paying for it at the university level.  Even some of the courses required by colleges are required to be taken again ( my case, I am a surgeon and had to take physiology, biochem, histology, immunology again in med school-- by the way, I came from subsidized housing project and finance undergrad with loans! no silver spoon here).  My first visit to Baylor was Welcome Week-- Shocked is an understatement; I went to the highest ranked school that accepted me at the time.  One other factor on how much you end up owing in student loans is how much did one spend on non-academic endeavours, how much did one work while in school-- yes nerd here, no frat dues!  FInally, the more education, the more control one has over one's employment.  Not blaming Baylor.
