I called the # back from a different phone and it says that it is Verizon WIreless and asks you to put your mobile # in, or if you are not a customer to press #. I pressed # and it kept me on hold for a few mins, then said they were busy / unable to take call. I called Verizon customer service and they do not have this # as any of their retail stores in the area.

Have received the same call and issues as the last person to post, Julie.  Same EXACT issues!  If Verizon doesn't own up to it, then need to change or fix it because it is not the first call i've gotten from them and it does correspond to a Verizon transaction I've been doing the last few months.  Which initially leads me to believe it really is Verizon.

This number is for Verizon Wireless robocall for collections number.  If you can be patient enough to listen to about 5 minutes worth of how you can pay your bill propaganda you eventually will be connected to a collections person wanting to know how you want to pay your past due balance.  If you are experiencing a billing issue this number is of no help.  All they will do is let you speak to someone else within the room who claims to be a floor supervisor who too cannot connect you to anyone else higher up in their ranking.  They claim to be a communications company but it is the one virtue they have a hard time doing … communicating with others within their heirarchy.

This is a scam. I called Verizon after receiving a call from this number. Do not give them any info!! Verizon called it and said yes this is a scam. They tried telling me I owed $500!!! They just want your credit card or bank info!! Beware!!!

This number keeps cLling me asking for someone else and they claim to be Verizon. But I know they have the wrong info! I have had this same phone number for 12 years!

Verizon collections.

Just received a call  about part due balance. I've also learned in the above comments that is a scam call. This is rediculous.

Yeah, its legit verizon, but the number is random when they call. and only call when my bill is past due, i make the payment and everything clears out fine. Best advice i can give, is if this number calls you, go pay your bill.

If in doubt call the phone number on your bill or visit the nearest Verizon office.
Do not give your bank account or credit card account number to anyone who calls you.

Same way for me for years. Only get it when I'm past due. 24 hours after I pay, it stops.
