Calling me also too. First time asked for me by name, I said, "Speaking." They hung up. Next time they immediately hung up when I answered.

Got two calls from this number today and no voice message was left.  Wondering who is calling?

Had this once before.  Happened again recently.  Phone rings.  Caller asks for you by name.  Identifies himself as Madison Co or Huntsville or Decatur firefighter thanking you for past support and giving a free ticket to some popular concert.  Says he'll put it in the mail to you and asks that when you get it if you'll put a check in the mail.  If you try to call back the number it is a busy signal.  If you contact the firefighters they never heard of the person calling and they don't fundraise by giving free concert tickets.  The number is not even a valid number but was called using a spoof card.  You then start getting hang-up calls at weird hours, sometimes in the middle of the night.  Probably just some really sorry individual with a lot of time on his hands.  Do not send any money, this is a scam.  Call the police and report it as a scam.

Called tonight but didn't recognize as someone I know so didn't answer the call. After reading the other comments about this number I won't be answering anytime soon.

We kept getting calls from this number.  My husband has answered several times and they ask to speak to me by name.  They claim to be from the Madison County Firefighters, the last caller said his name was Heath Hickman.  He was very rude and disrespectful, laughing about the fact that his call woke up my children.  I sincerely hope they do to trly fundraiser form the firefighters, as this group does more harm than good.  We will NEVER donate.

Four times in the last week.

Call every few months. Never leave a message. Also get calls from 256-970-1974. Both come in with a one in front even though I am in the 256 area code. Both have been identified as scams by other posters for fire or police that they say are not actually doing the fund raising.  I bought a Panasonic phone that lets me block 200 of these pest. I never donate by phone as most charities only get 15% of what is raised by telemarketers. Get a phone that lets you block these annoying calls. Keep posting so we can all protect ourselves. The other pest numbers I have had in the last week or so are 1-000-000-0000, 1-256-867-2478, 718-737-7162, 706-805-1779, 423-382-0076, 423-382-0076, 502-442-7042, 619-761-5007. They are trying to sneak past us by using private numbers etc. I even had several come in identified as coming from my bank with my banks help line number. When I called my bank they said they had not been trying to call me and that if they call they always leave a message. They told me the only way to be fully protected is to always place the call.
