Same, one ring.  I think it's a new scam to get you to dial them back.  Once you do, they know they have a good number that they can sell or use to scam you.  Don't ever call them back.

Yes it's a scam.  You call them back, it's on your dime, and they've now confirmed that they have a good number for you.

So just where is the scam? I don't get your comment that the caller will know they have a "good number" if you answer. Any call that isn't met with one of those those pre-recorded messages of dialing in error or reaching a number no longer in service, IS a "good number"! So how does it matter if you answer or not? Most people have voice mail anyway, and that may tell the caller your name, which is more than a live answer will tell. It's likely the call is from a type of BOT dial where, when a call connects, it gets streamed over to a live person, who then tries to speak with you for whatever they're calling about. I've researched this number as I just noticed a missed call from my call app on my tablet, so wondered who it was from. I only turn on my tablet whenever I want to use it, so most app calls would be missed, especially since I only use the app caller for family and close friends. So this number is already considered SPAM or a mis-dial, but I still "google" it to see who/what is might be about.

I just called the number back and a recorded greeting quickly answered saying that this number is a rewards redemption center. They went on to state that I had recently contacted them and have won $100 rewards...blah, blah. I did not contact them, not ever, so this was most likely their call bot calling numbers, and they no doubt care about the Do Not Call Registry lists, or they think they're exempt by claiming that YOU'VE previously contacted THEM, so they're contacting you back. My number they called at is an APP! A free cell phone call and text app that I use ONLY with my closest family (daughter & son) and one friend, which is how I know that I never contacted them, besides the fact that I know I've never contacted them at all. They gave me an option to press "1" to claim my "prize" or press "2" to be placed onto their do not call list. I chose "2", so let's see what happens next, whenever, and if they call back I will return to note this. I do think this is a scam to get your money, but not a scam to see who has a "good number", like someone else claimed.

They are scammers but your calling them back and them knowing they have a good number is BS and it means nothing in that regard to call back the number. A "good number" is not the scam, don't be fooled. The scam is how they want you to think you've won something and then they will tell you it will only cost you some small amount, like $3 to $7, and all you have to do is give the your debit card or credit card number. THAT IS THE SCAM! Any caller who is not met with a failed call message has already dialed a good number - sheesh!  So WHY in earth would ANYBODY call back a long distance call where the caller failed to leave a message, especially if the return call will be a long distance call that isn't made by any phone plan?  I sure would not if I have to pay for it! As well, if the call were so important then they should leave a message, No message, it's a wrong number or an unwanted call. Block the number and then continue to block all of the future numbers they call from. They use many different numbers..... I've got five of their calls (all missed calls, all different numbers) from the passed 15 days. Each time I google the missed call number, I get to these sites and they all report the same scamming messages. So these callers are career criminals just after our banking type info.
