"This message is to inform you that you have a confidential matter pending to be filed against you within the next 24 hours. To make your statement against this claim which could result in further proceedings you must call Patricia Scott at 248-295-3905 Reference your case number ------- for immediate assistance, Please press 1"

Got another message: "This confidential message is to inform ------ that a decision has been made on your behalf concerning a pending matter that will be filed against you. Numerous attempts were made to contact you with no response. You must call back with your attorney information or full payment to avoid further proceedings. You must contact Rick Sullivan at 715 257 3217. Reference your case number #####. If you need assistance please press 1"

What happened to Patricia?

Debt collection scam.  If you call that 248-295-3905 number,  they ID themselves as ARS or American Resolutions or something similar.  It's all nonsense.  If there were a pending las case against you, you'd have heard about it from the attorney for the other side.  You'd have received a letter.  You'd have a paper trail.  You would NOT have first heard about it from some scammery scummery debt collector who cold calls you and basically wants some money.  Ignore the call and block it.   They call from a variety of numbers.

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.  Tell 'em  no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.

You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.

I got the same message as above today.
Thank u so much for taking the time to try to help others that receive calls from these people!  its a shame that people have nothing better to do than to prey on people and their finances.
