Computer software scammer

He was calling from the Windows Security Center about my system. I asked him what my IP Address and computer name was and he started telling me about my UUID. I look at hundreds of logs per day and I can tell you this is bogus and no one would use this. He probably would have shown me something in my registry with a standard Windows number. When the operating system is registered they are not given a phone number so how did they get anything out of a so called log to even know who to call. When they call ask them questions about your IP address [don't tell them anything] and how they got your number because they are running a scam. Report these calls everywhere you can!

Caller supplies an Anglo-sounding name but has an accent like from India or Pakistan. Claims to be calling from the technical department of Microsoft Windows. Noisy background like a call center. We get this same explanation from other numbers, possibly spoofed. Some of the calls only show a single digit "1" instead of the phone number and no name or ID at all. Other sites say this number does not exist, may be a computer call.

Foreign caller about computer. Have asked for our number to be removed but they keep calling.  Time to file on them!!

This is an overseas scam that is not about to pace any number on a do not call list.

Same guy called earlier this morning on my other phone line. He says I have something wrong with my computer. I asked him "how do you know" and he hung up. This morning I told him "Bull Shoot" (3 times) and he hung up.

I had this company call me and do the same thing they have done to everyone else, claim something was wrong with my computer.  When i told the guy that im not going to believe this scam, he proceed to cuss me out!!  No joke!  I hung up before I heard much but he was still cussing me out as I was hanging up.  What a weirdo!!  Wondering if I can report this company to anyone

This scammer called pretending to be from Microsoft.  They started by giving bogus account names and numbers.  I said I was busy could I call back.  The idiot gave the call back number (832) 426-2326

Indian accent, claimed to be from "Windows" or some such foolishness. Wanted me to help him hack into my computer probably.  When I asked questions he hung up.  I hate these scammers.  Horrible, awful people.

I've had so many calls that today I finally told them that my computer was working so well that I used it to look up their phone number and it said they were scammers! They hung up in record time! They have argued with me relentlessly trying to get me to turn over control of my computer to them. PLEASE never give in to them!

I have so much fun with these people, Mike called from Microsoft and said for a couple of days my computer was giving out codes that suggest I have a virus and I said you are a scam artist and he said no I am not I am from Microsoft and I then told him I work for Microsoft and he hung up on me! LMAO

Unwanted call.  Doesn't the "do not call" list ever matter!?

The issue with these calls is that they are based in a country that will not assist in resolving the matter.

This number calls DAILY and there is no one on the line.  Please make it stop

The call from this number said "name unavailable" but a number did show up when I went to menu.  Reading the responses above made me very glad I didn't answer their call... yay!  I am blocking this number.  I am fast reaching the 200 mark for blocking on my phone.  Where do these people come from?  Oh yes... under a rock!

Got numerous calls from this number. All saying they are with Windows and there is a problem with my computer. I had fun with them and they hung up. Now they are using a new number 263-205-6393 and saying the same thing. Again I had fun with them and repeating everything they said to me. Funny thing is the same guy calls back and I do it all over again. Total scam.

Someone called from this number and it was a busy call center. The person was speaking in an Asian language, not one word of English was spoken.  I asked, "Do you speak English?" and they hung up on me.
