I have been getting two calls a day, sometimes as late as 9:00pm from this number:  WISCONSIN  262-703-1977.  It is an automated message telling you to enter either your account number or YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!  I do not have an account at Kohls and seldom shop there.  I called a local Kohls and told the assistant manager about the calls, and he was indifferent about the situation and told me he didn't know what to do.  He said it is definitely NOT Kohls calling as they only call people who have an account with them.  He brushed me off, saying he didn't know what I should do.  I have received two calls from these creeps already today, and I'm getting sick of being harassed!

Has called my cellphone several times asking for a "Patricia Dickey" at first i thought it was nothing and said it was the wrong number. however, they persisted in calling days after asking for that same person...so i yelled at them saying "this is obviously not the person you're trying to reach, so quit it!!!" Gosh, really annoying.

WISCONSIN 262-703-1977 - THEY HAVE BEEN CALLING MY NUMBER FOR THE PAST 3 WEEKS, SOMETIMES 3 TIMES A DAY; AT LEAST 2 TIMES A DAY.  ON FRIDAY NIGHT AROUND 8:00PM, THEY CALLED, AND MY HUSBAND ACTUALLY SPOKE WITH A LIVE PERSON.  BEFORE, IT WAS JUST AUTOMATED PROMPTS TO ENTER ACCOUNT NUMBER OR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.  THE LADY ASKED TO SPEAK WITH MEGAN WAGNER.  MY HUSBAND TOLD HER THERE WAS NO ONE AT THIS NUMBER BY THAT NAME AND THAT WE HAVE BEEN GETTING HARASSING CALLS FROM THEM FOR 3 WEEKS.  HE TOLD HER THAT WE HAD NOTIFIED THE LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT AND ASKED HER TO NOT CALL US AGAIN.  WE HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM SINCE THEN.  I DON'T KNOW IF THEY HAVE ACTUALLY STOPPED THE CALLS FOR GOOD OR WILL CONTINUE WITH THEM LATER ON.  IF THEY CONTINUE CALLING, I WILL HAVE MY TELEPHONE NUMBER CHANGED.  THEY COULD PROBABLY ALSO GET THAT NUMBER TOO, SO I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH GOOD THAT WOULD DO, BUT THAT WAS WHAT THE LAZY PERSON FROM VERIZON OFFERED ME WHEN I CALLED TO COMPLAIN.  HE SAID HE DOESN'T THINK THIS IS A SCAM AND THAT IT WOULD BE A LOT OF TROUBLE TO TRACE THE CALLS.  HE TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $4.00 PER CALL AND IT WOULD TAKE AT LEAST 4 CALLS TO TRACE THEM.  I TOLD HIM NO WAY.  I'M NOT PAYING MONEY TO STOP IDIOTS HARASSING ME WITH ANNOYING TELEPHONE CALLS.  I PERSONALLY THINK IT IS A SCAM, AND WHOEVER IS DOING IT SHOULD BE BEHIND BARS....NOW!

I called the real kohls and told them everything and that number 1-262-703-1977:
is going through fraud....They will get caught.

I got a call on my cell phone from Kohl's that my payment was late.  I do not have a big balance and sent the payment in last week.  I was asked if I wanted to set up an automatic pay by check so I'm not late.  When I told her I paid my bill she said she'd note my account.  She also said that my Employer wasn't listed.  I gave her my the name of my employer (regretfully).

this number has been calling me alot so i decided to call it back it asked for my ss or account number but i didnt enter it.. so it connected me to a lady with a wisconson accent.. she asked me for my last name i didnt give her it but it was all around weird is this really kohls or what??

After seeing the other posts about this number, I'm assuming it's Kohls (or someone posing as them - wouldn't know since I never answer any number I don't recognize).  I have a small unpaid balance on their credit card, so after looking up this number I paid it.  However, the calls have continued (5-10+ times each day) and they never leave a message, so if it's really Kohls I question why they would continue harassing me after paying my bill...

I don't have a Kohls card and I don't shop much there either...however they got a hold of my number and have been calling me every day now. I haven't had the chance to pick up because I'm at work or I forget my phone at home. I thought if it was important enough they would leave a message but so far no message and today was the 4th day of calls. I checked my credit report and somehow I have a Kohls record...the name on the card isn't even mine. So I called them up and they said you're right you don't have an account with us but I still get a statement from them saying I owe them money.

Call several times a day from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. central time.  There is never a message left on my voicemail.  I do wonder though, if it is Kohls demanding a late payment, they would leave a message.  My boyfriend is in collections....they leave messages.

Frustrating and unfortunately, I am not the only one going through this.

I have gotten two calls from this number, the first one left a message (I just got the tail end, probably the same  "call this 800 number" message others have gotten). They called again at 6 am today (I live in CA now but still have my WI cell phone) and did not leave a message. Weird.

I have received 3 calls in 3 days from this number.  They don't leave a message so I googled the number.  Thank you for having this info out there to see!  Hopefully I can block this number!  I do have a Kohl's card, do you think maybe someone got a hold of a Kohl's customer list?  Not unheard of!

Yeah - i received calls from them too  - it is Kohl's.  best to check your credit report - see if someone got a card under your name or if your phone was previously held by a Kohl's customer.  I had a balance on my card - which i did not get a bill for and then started getting their calls.  It checked out - that it was Kohl's - i paid off the balance and told them where to stick their store and their inept credit department.

Here's the deal with this - I, too, had numerous calls from this number.  I looked it up on here and figured it was a scam, so I called it back and bitched at the person who answered (said, "You are not from Kohl's so stop trying to call people and collect their information!  Etc., etc.).  Afterwards, I called Kohl's directly (which I should have done first), they verified that the number was from Kohl's, and they even verified the location of the collections call center (Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin).  I had the rep look up my account and she reassured me my account was fine...

BUT...

Someone else had my phone number listed with their account as well.  I told her I was the only person who had access to my phone number (I didn't share it with family members, etc.) and she took my number off the other person's account.  It was that person they were trying to reach for their account... Not me and my account.

It's not a fraud... But it certainly sounds like one in the beginning.  Just call Kohl's 1-800 number directly and have them double check your account.

Needless to say, I feel so horrible for talking to the first woman like I did  :)

I just received a phone call from 262-703-1977 this Friday afternoon and answered it to have this long pause of silence before the automated voice said it was of Kohl's and said to call a 1-800 number, but then it got caught off and disconnected. So weird! I am going to try to call my local Kohl's store and report the incident. I love Kohl's and think they would like to know if someone is posing as them.
