They called, I did not answer, they hung up. The caller ID says ASSIST, whatever that indicates.

Robo call saying my student loan was flagged for reduction or late forgiveness. I don't have a student loan.

Called and hung up 10 mins ago with a Wisconsin caller id.

Called stating my student loan was flagged for reduction or late forgiveness.  I haven't had a student loan for 20+ years.  Chose the option to speak to a live operator, which then said that they were experiencing high call volume and to leave my total student debt and contact information in the voice mailbox.

The owner of this phone number needs to be reported to the authorities. I received an automated call saying that my student loan qualified for some type of debt forgiveness. It only gave one option: to press option 1 to speak to a live operator. When I did, it the robot said they were experiencing a high call volume, and to leave a message. So, left a voicemail explaining that I do not have a student loan, along with my call back number. No one has returned my call.

Now there is an option to press 5 to decline the offer. Left a message on my voicemail.

Don't have any debts in collection or late.

Just so you folks know,  you shouldn't reply nor use any of their" remove me" options.  It tells them it's an active number and they'll put you on another list. The same holds true for the "Unsubscribe me" option on spam emails.
  I've found the best way to answer a call from an unknown number is to be perfectly quiet. If it's a real person,  you'll hear some background noise or the person will say something.  If It's A Computer,  It'll Hang Up automatically. These computer bot dialers will call 5 or 6 numbers at a time but will only connect to the first person who answers.

I didn't answer. Thanks to all who posted. Now I know which scammers called me today.

I got a call from these [***] on 9-22-15 @ 10:35am on my cellphone! They left a message saying that I qualified for a student loan forgiveness and that I could press 1 for a live operator or 2 to be added to their "do not call" list! I pressed 2 and got a recording that I have been added to their "do not call" list. I guess I'll see whether or not that is true in the coming days/weeks! I've not been a "student" of anything since 1983 anyway, LOL!

I got a call on my work phone. I do not have any student loan. Government is already very stingy about student loan and try to get most interest from poor students. Why will government loan department try to contact you to provide better loan? This is definitely from Scammer who wants to get easy money from innocent hard workers. I got exactly same message which everyone described.

call is still happening.  did not answer it in time, but did not recognize the number either.  I have NO student loans

These guys called me 2 times. So after the first time, I decided to let my dog bark at them for about 5 mins, haven't gotten a call back.
