Got a call said they were from medical services. Something about compensation and asked if I had surgery

Received a call on my cell phone from this number. I did not recognize the number so I did not answer it. (I did a search for this number which led me here.) My cell phone is on the Do Not Call Registry so I have no idea why or how my number is available to them.

They called try to ask if I had surgery and the rest I couldn't understand dye to heavy accent. I hung up. I'm not sure how they got my info or should I say who they stole it from.

this foreign sounding person called left message, caller id said it was from a Pettiford, Z. called back number is not inservice. I have told these persons from supposedly medical clearinghouses that i do not have mesh surgery nor hip implants and not to call again and i meant it . I also tell them that it is against hippa law to be calling as well.

how in the blankety blank do they call from a number that is not valid??  I do not want these idiots to call again , any ideas?

Call blocking devices or apps for a landline; apps for smartphones.

Called, left no message.

I get two to three calls from this number a day.Nothing comes up on caller id.Never leaves a message and never speaks.

So I get anywhere from 2 to 5 calls a day since I signed up for P.C.H. for the last 2 months. I asked very politely to be removed from their call list just to receive more calls from disconnected numbers. Seriously thinking about a lawsuit.

Called my husband's phone and asked for me.  When he was told that I wasn't available, he hung up.

Last Friday, "Jack Parker" called twice. His heavy Indian accent was very difficult to understand.Both times he said he was calling because I might be entitled to some medical compensation. He said he knew that I had vaginal surgery a long time ago and then asked if I had a bladder sling or mesh implant. I told him I might have but that I wasn't sure. I asked him who he was with and he said "The State Health Department" I asked which state? and on the first call, he said "Tahoe". I said "That's not a state" and he hung up. He called back about 2 minutes later and said all the same stuff. this time, when I asked what state, he said something muffled that sounded like "Achillanilla" I repeated it back and he said "yes!". I asked him how to spell that? and he hung up. Not sure why these people are calling me or anyone else. I have had multiple calls from multiple numbers asking basically the same thing each time. One also called and pretended to be with Microsoft and wanted to get into my computer.
I am going to mess with these people when they call me. It makes great stories to tell people when they say something stupid back to you. Getting mad doesn't help, at least if I can laugh about it, it isn't a complete waste of my time. :)

I have a land line still. I have gotten 3 calls from this  # 267-581-0012 Pettiford Z and they don't leave a message.

I get these calls. Its frustrating cause they call from 8-9 am..which on my day off..i sleep in. And they wake me up with some bs about how I might be entitled to compensation for bladder surgery. Tired of scam calls has the right idea. I mess with them. Ill go along with it and then say I'm not interested after 20 minutes. .then I say I'm 32...you think I need bladder surgery? They usually don't know what to say if you mess with them. Its funny.

I just saw a post from someone that said they recognized the scam number when their phone rang and they answered: "911 police dept. What's your emergency?" They said the guy stuttered and he then said "Don't hang up- stay on the line- if you hang up, I will have to send out a patrol car" He said they haven't called back since.... He suggested looking up Tom Mabe on You Tube- he knows how to deal with telemarketers. Ha!
