Just called... gotta be some scammer... most likely bet would be the card services scumbags

This # called me, i called back ans its not in service,

This number called me just 5 minutes ago. I am supposed to have an unlisted number....Really?

WARNING--BEWARE!! These callers are   B I G   credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers! Under NO circumstances, give these lowlifes your credit card number, or you will regret it forever!

I would like to know if there is a permanent solution to unwanted calls? The scammers have found a way to harress us honest people, yet we don't seem to have an effective way to fight back. PLEASE don't tell me about the national do not call registry. I have put my number on that so-called list so many times but yet the scammers keep calling. We need to fight back. We pay for our phone services and phone numbers and should not have our privacy breached. I think the phone companies should be blamed (AT&T for one). Most phone compaines now are concerned about making a buck selling phones and "services" that they have dropped the ball on security.

I bought a "Sentry" and it works great. I bought mine on Amazon for about $40.

When I answered the phone, no one replied, then they hung up, or got disconnected.  
I am on the 'Do not call List' or at least I thought I was.

Got a call from this number. Caller ID said Michigan. Figured it had to be a scammer, so I didn't answer. I'm glad I saw the comments here so I know it's Cardholder Services scumbags.

I have a sentry, works great. Got it on Ebay.

Just got the call from "Michigan" - didn't answer - came here to 800 notes to post it.
It's not even10am here in Los Angeles and we have already had 6 telemarketer calls!!!
We block entire area codes and this "269" was one of the few area codes that we did not have blocked - BUT THEY ARE BLOCKED NOW!!!
Please purchase a call blocking phone or device, they work and they are inexpensive!

Just received two calls from this number, but as usual I always look here first and never answer odd numbers. I'm convinced Verizon put me on a call list out f spite for reporting them to the FCC for poor service, as these types of calls are a daily nuisance.  The Do Not Cal list is not owned by our government, but by a private company, so I don't have much faith in that service.  Per blocking area codes: Home Depot delivery uses one that a lot of spammers use and Home Depot didn't put their name with the number. If not for this site, I wouldn't have answered the phone.

Got a call indicating "Michigan" on the caller ID.  No message left.  We do not answer calls for numbers we are unfamiliar with.

Recorded Robo call about credit card interest reduction - Press 1 to talk to representative.
Rang and rang and rang and rang - no one answered

Two people have mentioned having a  "sentry". What exactly is that? I would sure like to have one.

Got a recording saying they were the IRS and they were gonna sue unless we called them at this number; 2026576406. Gonna be reporting both numbers to the federal authorities.

I also have a sentry.  It works GREAT!!! although until you get it programmed it takes a little patience to get used to.

The card service scammers   WILL   'service' our credit cards,   BUT,   when they finish 'servicing' them, they will have NO available credit remaining! People that are fooled into having their cards 'serviced' will be charged a MINIMUM of $795.00, and many times the ENTIRE amount remaining on the card. The card service scammers are a disgusting group of degenerates, who prey mainly on the low income, and the elderly, but will cheat anyone that they can!

Thank goodness for this site,  they have been calling  and I didn't  answer and  checked this site.  I too don't  answer calls from numbers I don't  know.  I am so fed up,  AT&T only let's you block 20 of these scam numbers  but they need to do more.  So many are happy with  Sentry?  If it really works,  I need to invest in it.  

The National Do Not Call List is a BIG JOKE.  And a complete waste of time listing spam calls with them.  They do ABSOLUTELY nothing so figure they're 'paid under the table' by the spammers/scumbags to ignore the listing.  I have a two services installed on my phone, plus the reject selection included with phone so I use it.  And I continually get a phone call from vultures (collection companies) for something or someone.  I don't bother to answer, and it's blocked anyhow.  And don't bother reporting to the attorney general's office of that  particular State - they're paid to ignore by the collection agencies as well.
