This is a scam...I refused to give my D.O.B and last 4 social...I had a similar issue over a year ago with a Florida guy that had run the same scam. He contacted my sister and was saying that I had legal matters that needed to be addressed. After doing some searching based on the number I found the guys name and address and sent a cease and desist letter...also turned it over to the FBI as a scam. They told me I had an outstanding Master Card bill which I never had. I did give info the last time and stayed worried after that they would commit identity theft. Do not give any info. They can not have you arrested and a police officer is not coming to your home. They use scare tactics to get you to pay.

I received a message saying that it was a legal matter and if I did not respond that I would incur a penalty.  When I called back and they asked me if such a number was my social security number, I said it was not.  They then asked for my telephone number to remove me from their call list.  Since I had provided them the legal case number they had left on my answering machine, I suggested they would have the number they had called.  The person I was talking to then hung up.

number comes up Private Name Private Number , Legal Mediation Solutions is the " Name" they will not give you any inforation.  they left message with number no name of who they were trying to reach threating legal action.   This is a SCAM anyone who is legiamate trying to collect a debt must identify who they are trying to reach, must make name visible on phone if not they are violating FDCPA.  Do not give "Bob" any information.  Report all scam calls to the FBI and BBB and then your local TV station so they can make everyone aware the situation.

You say you got the guys name and address?  my cousin is an FBI agent and would be interested in that info

legal mediation services they say. the call came from 985-245-5712 which is Louisiana. told me to call Richard Blackburn at 269-459-2155 in Michigan. its a scam. never in my life dealt with HSBC bank etc. first warning sign is calling from one state for you to call another. scam. scam. do not give them any info!

They just called me with a number 989-460-2703 the automated caller says:  "I am to call back with my Attorneys info or to pay the full payment. I'm to contact Richard Blackburn with case # @`#%?" Then it gives another number to call back #
269-459-2155.  They call me at the first of the month from 248-537-9302. This its nothing but a scam. I've put them on a call blocker and have reported them to BBB, FTC and local law enforcement. I've also informed local news media. Watch for these numbers:

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

•is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
•refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
•asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
•exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

•Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

•Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

•Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft – charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

•Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

•Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

 Looked up Phone # 269 459-2155.  Say they are trying to collect a debt.  Collecting money to keep it out of Court.  Lol.  Do not call back just ignore it so you don't get charged for an outrageous phone call.

Legal mediation solutions names Rodriquez or Natalie in Belding Mi want to threaten a warrent for arrest to pay credit card bill. A scam will not send info to home.

Twice they have left message for me about a " decision against me" .. This is fraud and I would love these guys to be busted. Richard Blackburn and another name Kevin Stockwell. I asked to speak to a supervisor after the guy said he would just remove my number. . I refused to give him my umber and asked to speak to his boss.. He said , "hold on".. then disconnected me. I have been getting calls from 269-459-2155 from Legal Mediation Services, attorney Richard Blackburn's office. I called back to ask that they stop calling me. Got a Mr. Rodriguez on the phone who would not give me his full name & would not give me the address of his office. Mr. Rodriguez said that he has all of my information, including my dob, ss#, my Bank Account information, etc...and threaten me by saying that I better verify the information or else. I told him to stop calling my number and he proceeded to say that he has documented that I am being uncooperative and hung up on me. I called back and told him to stop calling me and then I hung up.

Called said had a claim against me and I needed to contact them right away. I gave no claims against me just this phone call. A scam . Do not answer.

I have been getting calls from the phone # (518) 533-6032, so has my husband and our 16 year old daughter.  They say that a legel decision has been made and that I need to conntact Richard Blackburn to disscuss my options.  I will not call back now that I know it is a scam.
