called me at 9:58 p.m on saturday. I live in California now...but i still have a houston cell phone number area code (281)

Received a call from this number on May 31 @ 10:28 PM on my cell.  I live in the Houston area.  I do not know anyone in this area code.  They did not leave a message either.  When I called it back, no ring, no message, nothing but "white noise."

This is not a Houston number, nor is it even a real number.  While this doesn't sound like it's related to the infamous "Heather with account services" credit card scam, whoever is doing this is definitely using a similar process (readily available on the internet) that spoofs false phone number information onto your Caller ID.

For all the people who live in Texas that are getting these annoying calls, please file a complaint as soon as you can with the Texas Attorneys general Office. The online info link is:

Report that the non-profit political action group USAVOTERS.ORG is responsible for making these illegal calls.  (They are illegal because, among other things, "telemarketers" are prohibited from calling at the times these calls are being placed.)

I am in Houston. I got a call this 9 AM from this number also. Caleld back and got voice mail unable to connect to this number.

Called 2:30Pm to my cell phone in Houston TX. Rang once then hung up. Called from 269-768-2092.

This number called both my office and my lab number here at JSC (Houston, TX). Like others, tried to call back to find out who it was. Kept getting "call cannot be connected" or some gibberish as such.

Using mapquest and whitepages.com reverse lookup functions, the address is on Main St, between Jackson and Parkway in Bellevue MI. Bellevue is not a big town...can't be too hard to track these folks down.

They have chosen the wrong federal installation to phone.

Called me at 8:51 am today and hung up. My # starts 281-513
