Caller ID reads "Pacific Hub 269-768-2102" and has called many times.
Man with heavy accent wanted to sell a SUPERPAGES.com online listing for $$$ or only $86 for the local listing. He asked me to answer questions whos answers are already posted at SUPERPAGES.COM. Which showed me that he was NOT WITH SUPERPAGES.COM AT ALL. I found our company is listed online already at SUFERPAGERS.COM for FREE. This mystery man is a Very RUDE, pushy, and demeaming SCAMER. I had to hang up, he would NOT take "NO" for and answer or agree to take me off his calling list. Some Nerve!
We have been getting the calls that our auto warrentee is about to expire also. We ask every time to be removed but they call over and over, looks to be the same scammer.

Calls come to my cell phone which is registered under & as a business cell phone every day.
Have told them 3 times, not interested, remove my number from their data base & not to call back.
The calls have not stopped & have since been calling approx. 2 times a day 2 or 3 times a week, along with the regular daily calls every day except Sundays.

They call.
They don't talk.
I hear background noise.
Sounds like Hindi but not sure.

I get a call from this number almost every day.  I never answer it.  They never leave a message.  Who can I contact to make a formal complaint?

8/19/08, 12:01 p.m.--received my 1st call (that I know of) from this number.  I said "Hello", pause, a woman said "Hello", I then said "Hello" once again.  She asked if it was something like RMBC(?) Advertising.  I said no and she hung up.  Woke my babies from a nap.  Hope this isn't a trend, but it looks like it will be.

they keep calling my cell number so I called them back it is a resurch place it says to dial #1 to be removed I'll see if that works. : )

You have to call them back to have your # removed. Of course, it is a computer operated system, and of course it took me almost 5 minutes of entering my "invalid number" before the computerized b***h finally accepted it.  We'll see if it works...

This number has called me 3 times in the last 48 hours. I have not answered and will not, so I can't verify who it is.

I got the same call from the same number. I called the number back and was given instructions on how to remove my number from there system. Havent had any calls since I did this.

I called 616-361-0128 Lucre, Inc they are the provider for that number I spoek to Scott and he said no one has called to them to complain. He would make sure that my number was removed and advises that I file a report with the FCC as I am on the do not call list.

Called me and hung up.  Don't like this.  Did some searching and found a name and number to call. PLEASE CALL THEM OFTEN AND COMPLAIN!!!  Here it is:  R. Steven Hale, 616-361-0218.  Let him have it.  He will transfer you to some other j*** but it does feel good.  He is supposed to be the VP/CEO of LUCRE, Inc.  LET HIM HAVE A TASTE OF HIS OWN MEDICINE.  It is a phone company scam!!

Pacific Hub from the Philippines. This is why the FCC won't do anything about these 3-4 hangup calls each day, because it happens outside of the USA. Small business owners need better protection from this daily B.S.

The called at about 9:00 p.m.  They did not leave a message.  The caller ID said "Pacific Hub."  This is clearly a scam.

Nothing on the other end. I called back and it gave the option of pressing one to stop the calls from coming. Then it asked me to enter the number I used to reach them. I entered the above number and the automated operator stated that it wasn't associated with the company. It was going in circles so I finally hung up.

Does any one know if when you get a call with no answer (telemarketing company) if you push the # key rapidly for six or seven times that it actually confuses their computer and throws your telephone number out of their system?  I was wondering if this was an old wives' tale or just wishful thinking.

Three Little Words That Work !!

(1)The three little words are: 'Hold On, Please...'

Saying this, while putting down your phone and walking off (instead of hanging-up immediately) would make each telemarketing call so much more time-consuming that boiler room sales would grind to a halt.

Then when you eventually hear the phone company's 'beep-beep-beep' tone, you know it's time to go back and hang up your handset, which has efficiently completed its task.

These three little words will help eliminate telephone soliciting.


(2) Do you ever get those annoying phone calls with no one on the other end?

This is a telemarketing technique where a machine makes phone calls and records the time of day when a person answers the phone.


This technique is used to determine the best time of day for a 'real' sales person to call back and get someone at home.

What you can do after answering, if you notice there is no one there, is to immediately start hitting your # button on the phone, 6 or 7 times, as quickly as possible This confuses the machine that dialed the call and it kicks your number out of their system. Gosh, what a shame not to have your name in their system any longer !!!

(3) Junk Mail Help:
When you get 'ads' enclosed with your phone or utility bill, return these 'ads' with your payment. Let the sending companies throw their own junk mail away.

When you get those 'pre-approved' letters in the mail for everything from credit cards to 2nd mortgages and similar type junk, do not throw away the return envelope.

Most of these come with postage-paid return envelopes, right? It costs them more than the regular 41 cents postage 'IF' and when they receive them back.

It costs them nothing if you throw them away! The postage was around 50 cents before the last increase and it is according to the weight. In that case, why not get rid of some of your other junk mail and put it in these cool little, postage-paid return envelopes.

Send an ad for your local chimney cleaner to American Express. Send a pizza coupon to Citibank. If you didn't get anything else that day, then just send them their blank application back!
If you want to remain anonymous, just make sure your name isn't on anything you send them.

You can even send the envelope back empty if you want to just to keep them guessing! It still costs them 41 cents.

The banks and credit card companies are currently getting a lot of their own junk back in the mail, but folks, we need to OVERWHELM them. Let's let them know what it's like to get lots of junk mail, and best of all they're paying for it...Twice!
