I just received a call and then a hang up.  I believe it was a telemarker since I know of no one in that area code.

I think this is a spoof number, because they will call everyday from the same area code with different prefixes and numbers, but the message is always the same type--car warranty, reduce credit card rates, etc.  We don't even answer them any more.

Just received a call from this number and it was a recording about my "vehicle warranty registration". I listened to the rest of the message since it was my "final chance" and all (HA!) and at the end of the recording they gave me an option to remove "my vehicle" from the list.

Called offering to lower interest rates.  Wish I could get them to stop calling.

I've been getting these calls for months on my answering machine.  The guy always says the same line of crap about my cars warranty and how this is their "final attempt". Yikes!  I'd better hop right on that and return their call post haste lest I find myself with a broke down car and a useless warranty.  If it's final and I don't call back you'd think they would stop with the calls.

Funny thing is that they never ask for a specific person by name so I know they are trying to sell me or anyone in my house something.  I wish they'd call when I'm home so I can ream their butts out and take names since I'm on the national Do Not Call list.

Contact your local MP or congressman (depending on the country) and ask them to scrap the "Do not call" list.  Ask them to institute a "Call" list.  Only those numbers on the "Call" list would be contacted by the telemarkets.
