Kat - 12 Mar 2008I get called at least once a day from this number. They say they are calling from walmart, masies' etc. Someone I know recently entered my name for a draw for a beautiful all inclusive trip to Costa Rica. Sometimes its cancun. It also includes 5 days in Florida at Walt Disney Resort. All you have to do is press 9 to receive your free vaction!! DON"T DO IT. My daughter did this as she got so excited because she thought we won a free trip. By pressing 9 it gives them access to your telephone number. They can rack up long distance phone calls to your number. I contacted the telephone company shortly after my daughter admitted that she pressed 9, the telephone company put a callgate access on my outgoing long distance to protect us.
It really pisses me off that seniors, young kids are being taken advantage of because of A**holes in this world.

Alan - 18 Apr 2008This number from Michigan calls me at least 10 times per month. Most times it just hangs up in my ear but I sometimes get the pitch to press 9. I believe that some older office phones have a set up that 90# will put the caller in a position to make outgoing calls. I have toll denial anyway. I use 3 cent phone cards or MagicJack.
I talked to someone at the other end once and firstly asked why they weren't offering something at Miette or Jasper or Kananaskis (I live in Edmonton, too) because something in Florida isn't worth the time and expense it takes to even get there. Then, if they wanted money, I'd say, "Where's the $%^&ing FREE trip in that?!!", and hang up. I got the impression that the person I spoke with has no clue they're a part of a scam. If their paycheck clears the bank at least they have a lousy job. Maybe it pays the horrendous US health premiums.

dale from saskatoon sask.canada - 12 Mar 2008i live in saskatoon saskatchewan canada and 12697682910 called me twice..once on 3/07/08 and once on 3/12/08.when i called the # back on the 12th a recording came on and said the number was disconnected and they called @ 11:51 am and i called back at noon...9 minutes later as that's when i got home.i do know people in vegas as when i got the first call i googled the # on the internet and area code and it was a los vegas number...this and all other hang ups really piss me off as when i dial a wrong number and if they answer or not i always say sorry or leave a message..that is the way i was brought up.email me back at (zorro01@shaw.ca) if anyone has a freaking solution to this...chow for now...thanks DALE
