Vacation scam. "You've been awarded a $2900+ value vacation in beautiful COSTA RICA"... as long as you pay the balance by credit card right now... YEAH, RIGHT, THIS IS A SCAM... Allegedly your name and number was provided by a friend or relative through one of those 'Win a Vacation' collection boxes and "only 50 people in the U.S." have been drawn to receive the same offer. These cartoons say they are calling from Costa Rica, but don't speak spanish, and since they are calling from Costa Rica, they are exempt from all of the U.S. Do Not Call Lists, Federal Phone Solicitation Laws and supposedly the reach of the FCC... (I'm gonna file a complaint anyway and let the FCC decide if they are unreachable)... I think the best response is to call them back and give them the what for... interestingly enough, the 269 area code is a southern area code... the southern portion of Michigan's lower peninsula! What a bunch of scammers.

Great vacation experience! I am so glad we purchased this package. My husband and I were a bit skeptical about the offer in the beginning because it really seemed too good to be true. We originally regretted our decision to purchase, as money was tight at the time, but thank God it was non-refundable because we would have missed out on one of the best trips we’ve ever taken!  Although it took a bit longer than expected to receive our package in the mail, we’ve never been more satisfied.  We bought our package for $798.00 and vacationed at the Villas Sol Hotel and Beach Resort in Costa Rica.  B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L doesn’t even begin to describe it! We went on a grand canopy tour that was absolutely breathtaking and it was so incredibly convenient having all our meals/drinks already taken care of.  Both my husband and I would recommend this vacation to anyone and everyone that enjoys luxurious relaxation!

www.mycrtour.com is the web site and I bought a vacation package and went to costa rica and had a great time the only thing that we really did not enjoy was the casino , but that's becase we lost money , we did not purchase a time share but we never intended to , for $ 798.00 for 5 days 4 nights you can't even stay at a motel 6 , so who got scamed ? not us maybe them LOL , evryone should do what we did go and use them , sit threw there stupid 90 min tour and head back to the states with a sun tan and laugh all the way to the bank , if your smart you will take advantage of them , not let them take advantage of you ... in a few months we will go to orlando and do the same , and so should you ..

How do you know it's a scam?  Did you do some research into it to confirm that it is a scam?  We just bought a vacation package from them and I am trying to verify whether these are ligitimate vacation resorts or not.

It may not be a scam, but expect high-pressure sales tactics, usually to purchase a timeshare.

Be very wary if there is any hint of a request for money upfront.  A media report today has stated that 1/3rd of web and brick&mortar travel agencies in Europe have had fraud complaints. North America has tougher consumer protection rules - for a reason - and so be wary of companies not based in the U.S./Canada.

Pay with a credit card, that way if it does turn out to be a fraud, you will have recourse through your credit card company.

And, if you do get a reasonably priced vacation out of it, enjoy it!

I got a call from Davinci Enterprises (561) 498-2767 (that's what caller ID displayed).  It was a prerecorded message advertising a trip to Orlando or Costa Rica.  Msg said to go to www.mycrtour.com or to caLL (866) 665-4940.  I am on the do-not-call list and should never have received this call. I reported it to the FCC.

I just got one of these calls today and they requested that I go to "MYCRTOUR.com".  It all sounded to good to be true, but like it was said earlier sounds too good to be true.  I informed the person that I would have to wait for my husband to come home as he has the credit card on him, and she told me to go look for an OLD BILL with the credit card info.  WOULDN'T THAT BE FRAUD????  Using someone else's account without thier permission?  I realized the truth and hung up.  I'd like to hear from someone who had actually purchased a package.
