- tsI just received a call from Alex (probably from India) saying he was from Windows. I lit into him and told him he was a "liar, a scammer, and to NEVER, EVER call my number again." I did not use my inside voice either!
- Caller: Windows
- AtThis person said he wanted to get into my computer. And asked for my name and I refused to do so. Later he was like "who the hell are you." I was like eff off dude and hung up.
- BearRefused to respond after I answered the phone, even after saying "Hello" multiple times, so I (rudely) said, "Hello, mother****er," to which I was called a mother****er in return. He sounded like he had a Spanish accent, so I said something very rude, in Spanish, back. It wasn't very mature of me, but I do have an anti-solicitation feature on my phone line, so I was really annoyed. I felt much better afterwards!
- Caller: Out of area
- JSTThis scam use to be under a caller called "candy green" now it shows up as another number. I am not very polite with these people. I told him I knew he was an "effen" scammer, then hung up. He proceeded to call me back several times. The first few times I just hung up, next I picked it up and said I was giving the number to the police. The last I let my machine pick up and he called me an effen [***] etc etc. I do have to say It felt good to get them to loose their cool...I WON!!
- Caller: Scammer from India
- JMKThis guy "alex" so he said called regarding my computer, to which I immediately said in a very nasty tone, "DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN", and I hung up. This [***] called me back and wanted my daughter as he wanted to f*** her! Of course, I hung up. What recourse does one have against these people? In my opinion he sounded Middle Eastern.
- Caller: name unavailable
- RhondaA man named Alex, wanted to talk to the last person using my computer. He said he was from Microsft. He was very rude when I asked him what it was about....kept insisting on talking to the last person who used it. I told him it wasn't possible because my 2 year old grandson was the one on it....watching Mickey Mouse! The. Called ended after that! He sound just like my Dr...who is from India!

I said, no, no - I have scanning s\w are you from Microsoft? - he got louder and said this is not a virus and that he was Tech Support. I interrupted him and said, NO! NO!...............and hung up. - SCOTTYea I just got a call from them... an Indian accent said his name was Paul Carter from Tech 24/7 Yea right... so I went along with his game... even though I dont have a Windows OS system... all Apple in my house now. wanted me to click on Start - Right Click My Computer - Left Click Manage... yea I knew where this was going... into my manager and have me delete something... DON'T BUY IT... so while I was on the phone with him I Googled Tech 24/7 and got this link to LinkedIn (http://www.linkedin.com/company/tech-24-7) and noticed the UK website on Linked in... so I ask them where they were based out of and he (Paul) said California... Ok..so I went to the website posted on Linked in.. (http://www.techs247.co.uk/) and started asking him questions about this "Company he worked for" and ask if they were expanding... and he said No... then I came back with... well if your not expanding them why would a company who "specifically target and support small to medium businesses in and around the greater London area" would be calling me about a personal PC... Paul... I just read it straight off your website.... pause.... silence... me: you think you would get a little more information about a company before you start to lie about them in order the get information from people you are trying to Hack/steal information from..... Paul... Paul.... Paul: yes Sir we are expanding I misunderstood you... Me: Paul... what is my name? CLICK. Yeaaaaa... Thats what I thought.... Got to love it... DON'T FALL FOR IT...DON'T GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR INFO....

- Mrs. HThis number calls my home phone up to 4 times a day. We do not answer; caller ID says Michigan. It's extremely annoying but they can call till the cows come home and we will not answer. It's interesting to read comments about those who have answered. I wonder if this has something to do with the security breach at Target.
- Name ImpliedA scammer with an Indian accent. He said that was about my computer 24 hr help, and I said I did not request any help. He went on saying that he knew I did not request help, and which point I hung up.
Do not give your personal info on the phone unless you are sure this is your employer or bank or any reliable party. There are lots of scammers nowadays. - k. rochaReceived a call from these people claiming to be the technical department of Microsoft. I told him not to call my home again and he told me "[***] you" twice.
- KarynHave received many calls. Have answered none. Googled this number and saw all of the experiences others have had. Scammer.
- wonderwomanGetting phone calls from this number, no message.
- good at hanging up| 1 replyYes, SCAM, from India ... Says they are from Microsoft, and need to take remote control of the computer.
This is a horrible scam, and if anyone would fall for it, kiss ALL your information goodbye. They'll have it ALL.
I wasn't involved with Target, and I got this same call over a year ago, so I don't think the Target card problem is involved. If you call your phone carrier, they CAN do a special blocking of 'un named callers' from within their operations.
And, if you have a reliable phone service, they will gladly teach you the *STAR numbers that you can use to block these morons. But, yes, they DO switch numbers daily, and several times a day. Keep reporting them- Caller: They SAY Microsoft.

- grandma replies to good at hanging upSame thing that everyone else has been posting.- scammers from India saying there is a problem w/ Windows & they are calling "to help". The BEST thing to do is to say, " You should be ashamed of yourself for embarrassing yourself & your family by trying to pull a scam like this. You are disgracing your parents". Then hang up!!!
- DawnGot a call from some Indian guy telling me there was virus on my computer. I told him i didnt have a computer and he hung up. Now thats funny!!!!!!!!!
