- B| 1 replyBeen getting calls about an "Energy Efficiency Program". Operator says they're with the government and that there's a possibility of a rebate. Not sure if legit or not.
- MidNYteStorm replies to BBased on similar posts here on 800notes, I would say this is a scam. I would not put a lot of faith into a service I never asked for.
- SConstantly getting calls from 281-375-3026. Never anyone there. Never leaves a message. Finally stopped answering. It's quite annoying.
- BubbaCalled mobile, leave no message. When calling back using *67 prefix, they answer the phone as "Energy Efficiency". Same entity calling from multiple different numbers in the Baytown, Houston, Missouri City exchanges.
- Caller: Energy Efficiency
- Call type: Telemarketer
- BubbaThis looks like the closest thing to what these telemarketers are pushing.

"The Residential Energy Efficiency Program (REEP) provides income-qualified Houstonians the opportunity to receive the implementation of weatherization measures for their homes at no charge.
The City of Houston receives an annual funding allocation from Centerpoint Energy for this program. These funds allow us to reduce energy consumption for Houstonians by installing energy efficiency upgrades such as CFL light bulbs, door weather-stripping, caulking, wall and attic insulation, air conditioners, HVAC system upgrades, refrigerators, solar screens and more. The efficiency upgrades are based on a custom assessment of each home that will determine the measures needed to make the home more energy efficient. This assessment and audit tool (NEAT) is the national standard audit process recognized by the Department of Energy (D.O.E) and the State of Texas. The audit assessment and installation of the energy efficiency measures are done at no cost to homeowners.
Additionally, this program allows us to create opportunities for local contractors while simultaneously educating residents on how to create a healthy and energy efficient environment in their home. We have truly enjoyed working with the residents of the City of Houston over the past 7 years and are looking forward to weatherizing more homes in the future."

Notice the first sentence of the last paragraph. Local contractors are trying to drum up business that's subsidized by the federal government. OK fine. But, If you aren't "income-qualified" then it may not be worthwhile. And one would think that Centerpoint would be pushing this NOT an unsolicited telemarketer that repeatedly calls the same numbers and hangs up without leaving messages! I have received upwards of six calls in an hour, which ring once or twice then hang up. So their robocalling programming sux wind. If they are that inept in their sales efforts, why have them actually come to your house, even if "for free"!??- Caller: Energy Efficiency Program
