I got a text message from the number "129" saying "Please Call 281-447-9765" Thas it. I decided not to call and find out because i think it might be oen of those scam phone numbers. Anyoene lse get something like this?

Call came in for my exhusband Ken.

I looked on the ID caller, the name that came up was [ BUS CREDITOR MG ]. The man said it was very important that he got in touch with him.
He left an ID number to refer to when Ken called back.

I just got a phone call from the same number earlier today and the same thing happened to me he left a message like the same one. So what is this anything to worry about, cause he's talking bout taking me to court.

Someone from this number is harrassing me.  They call and refuse to identify themselves but insist that I make a $150.00 payment to them.  Who can I report this number to?

The person who called me is named Linda Cruse.  She threatened to have my utilities suspended and to send me to court.  She is rude and she refuses to give me any information about her company.  Who are these people?

Debt Collector just trying to harass because that's all they can do.  Such a sad job.  Ignore them.  If they really could take you to court, they would do so instead of calling everyday.  Credit cards are unsecured loans, they know this, so don't be scared.  Ignore these people, only worry about court papers.

this man just called (James Cooper)my phone and he said that he was legal representation for a Dr. Panis Shah and that if i didn't pay them XXXX amount of money by noon Friday they would be serving my with court papers. this is crazy

he also left a "CASE" number go figure.

Got a call from this number also. Same James Cooper (if that's his real name-but I'm sure we could find out). We should turn this around on them...

Received very threatening phone call from (James Cooper). Said he was from Harris County Emerald Forest Water District, threatening a civil claim if I did not pay immediately balance owed on disputed charges. Stated that they would be at my house tomorrow evening to remove meter and disconnect my water service. Contacted my water company regarding stated information and was advised that it was against the law for anyone other than the district, to touch the meter or turn it off. This guy is very rude & and once he announces his name, he should be hung up on, and not taken seriously...

I too just spoke with the "Mr. James Cooper".  He said that he is the legal representative for my former water district.  He told me that if I don't respond and make payment arrangements by Friday for about $168 that I owe.  He said if I did not they will take me to court and charge me legal fees of $500.  I have not had a bill from this water district since I moved in 11/08.  How can they call and expect immediate payment when no one has proved to me thatI owe an outstanding balance?  I asked if he was an attorney and he said that he is a legal officer for all of the water districts in Texas.  Legal officer?  Sounds intimidating, huh?  What it really means is that he is a debt collector who tries to care people into paying money whether or not the owe it.

Be careful the scuzzes may not be able to take you to court but the collector might still be able to file a suit against you. I had two suits filed against me because i thought the same thing. Also, know your laws. You can use it to your advantage when these [***] call. Note the time and date each time they call, get a name, tell them to stop harassing you, if they continue talk to a bankruptcy attorney. They file suits against people who violate the Fair Debt Collection Act. Be careful becuase if the debt is legit they can call you at home. They cannot call you at work if you tell them not to ande they cannot call anyone else to try to get to you (I have seen this happen). I had one idiot say her next call was to my boss which is TOTALLY illegal. I told her in accordance of the FDCA she could not do so and if she did would be subject to a harassment lawsuit.

i got another call from this number today this time a woman. it was regarding this same account but had increase by 10$. she tryed to tell me what i said then said she had me recorded, i told her to play it i didn't catch her name told me to have a lawyer by 10 am thurs morning my lawyer could hear it. then hung up

A lady call a Ms. Kerr very rude continued to call, when the call was returned said I must identify myself, that it is a medical emergency and very important!! Monday June 21, 2010 8:30 am. Threaten to call the police on this phone number.

got a call from this number this morning. Ms Kerr  was her name. my husband called her back and she claimed we owed over $100 for a water bill at a previous residence we haven't lived at for over a year. Claimed the water company has exhausted all efforts to contact us and take care of the matter, have sent out several statements, etc. When my husband asked her what time period the charges were for she wouldn't tell him, and refused to send another bill or statement or give him any information on the alleged debt. She was very rude, talked over him not allowing him to speak, threatened that our current water would be turned off if this bill wasn't paid (different companies) and asked if he was wanting to pay the bill or make payments today. When he said he wanted to clarify he wasn't paying on a bill he couldn't see to validate she  hung up on him. Sounds like a scam to me. He's going to call back and ask for a supervisor later today. Probably won't make a difference. If this is a scam they are severely wasting their time, cause they won't get anything from us. We know better.

I see there are a lot of people scammed by this same company so if you are all interested in taking care of them permanently let's do it! We need to contact channel 2 news and speak with Amy. She investigates this type of crap. Also the company I'm employed with in Houston is owned by 3 attorneys. If yall are serious, post back. If there's enough support from you I will meet with them and we can handle these idiots!

Caller identified herself as Mrs Karr or Kerr
She mentioned Hard water 3 case and company name Encor.
She also mentioned my case number. She did not tell what h=this case about. It looks like, it is scam.

Someone named Ann left a message on my home phone answering machine. She wanted me to get in touch with a neighbor and have my neighbor call her at 281-447-9765. Why am I being called? I hardly know my neighbor.

i have the worse credit, i owe many business's lots of money. but i only get phone calls from them once in a while. this number calls about once a month.

when they call dont answer. if you answer they will call you back more frequent. if you dont answer, hopefully they will only call you once a month.

Got a call from the number 2814479779 and then from this number.

Rude lady identified herself as Ms Kerr (I hope they keep changing their nick names :-)) and asked me to pay water bill on an old house.

Is there a legal defence against this kind of scam? I'm going to try and record the conversation if she calls back.
