say they are Sears ... Do respond to request to STOP CALLING.   So I BLOCKED 'em

How can a reputable (or not) company call us several times a day for weeks now, leaving no message at all? They should be ashamed of themselves!

You answered your own question. If you are on the Federal DNC list & you get a telemarketing call you can be sure on one thing, 100%. Your caller is a domestic, or foreign criminal trying to steal money, or personal information from you. Honest business' follow the DNC, which tells you everything about your caller.

A call from this number claimed to be from Sears and said it is time to renew some extended warranties.  He had correct information on what will soon expire, but he offered me a price that does not match what Sears charges.  He would not give me his name.  I asked him for a phone number to call back after I make my decision and he rudely asked me why I would not renew right then. I told him that I want to think about it.  He hung up on me.

This number appeared on my CID as "Private Name Private Number". I selected the 'block last incoming call' option to put it on my worthless Comcast Voice blocker but it identified the call as this number 281 571 3887 and said it would now be blocked. But I already had that # on the block list - they call nonstop!

These people have to be reported to the Texas AGs office. The feds will never do anything about them.This is outrageous

Also, when I signed up with Comcast Voice the lying sales person swore up & down I could block an infinite number of calls, but once I took the bait the story switched & it seems I only have 25 and it doesn't effectively block even those on the tiny list.

This number constantly calls, but never leaves a message. Blocking this caller, even if it is Sears...which I really dnt know, but as other's reported.

They called and it said it was "sears" but nobody answered. It was clearly a crank call that somehow got the sears name on the caller id.
