This seems a scam phone number.

This was a Debt Collector for Comcast

OK, I just called the following number 281-661-8811 and was advised through an Automated System that this is a Collection Agency.  As such They are required to follow the FDCPA(Fair Debt Collection Practices act) this clearly states that a Collection Agency cannot in any way disclose the reason for their call if they are not speaking to the Debtor that they are calling.  Now on top of following the Federal Laws in regards to the FDCPA there is a clause in this Act that gives each individual State the right to have more strict regulations in regards to Deb Collection and in the State of Texas it is illegal(a violation of Federal & State Law) for this collection agency to disclose the reason of their call to anyone other than the person they are attempting to contact.

The first thing to do is advise the company calling that the person they are trying to contact does not have that number and not to ever call again.  If they call again then they are in violation of FDCPA as they have already been advised that the person doesnt have the number and to not call.

A violation of the FDCPA can cause the collection agency to be fined up to $10,000 for the first offense and it climbs even higher for 2nd and if they violate a 3rd time they will lose their Collection Agency Status and should be closed by the Federal Government which I have seen happen to 2 different Collection Agencies while I was working as a Debt Collector for both first party(a bank) and 3rd party(on behalf of a different bank).

I would highly recommend trying to get any information regarding why they are calling and once they tell you its in regards to a Debt advise that you are filing a complaint for violation of FDCPA on grounds of Debt Disclosure to a 3rd Party. Then you must file the complaint with the State Attorney General as well as the Federal Attorney General.

I have asked people from this company numerous times to STOP CALLING my work number.  They are asking for Florida Wells and that person is NOT at this number.  I get a call from this number AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK!!!   I'm very tired of it & thought if they were asked to stop calling & continued, there would be some kind of actions taken against them.

this is a third party trying to collect a  debt on behave of a T mobile. I have explained to them very nicely not to contact me any more but it continues

We are continually receiving calls from 281-661-8811 and it is very disruptive to our daily business operations.

We are a place of business and get numerous calls daily from 281-661-8811.  No one speaks when we answer the phone and this is very disruptive to our daily business.

Just received a call from 281-661-8811 again. I get several calls from them but I don't answer if I don't
recognize the phone number.  They have never left a message before on my voice mail. In order for me to delete from my voice mail I have to listen to the whole thing. The problem is the computer says, "If this is not__________ then disconnect or hang up."  I think if you stay on the line to listen to the rest of their message then they will keep calling you. But in order for me to delete this I have to listen to the whole message, stupid.

Receive calls at all hours of the day. Automated message tries to verify your identity. If you click the option to be removed from the calling list they transfer you to a person who does not believe that you are not who they are looking for. Very persistent debt collector. But they have the wrong number!!
