How did you know it was a scam? I just got the same message as well and I too am selling a wedding dress on craig's list. Weird.

I just got this exact message in my email (word for word) and I have a gown on Craigslist in Indiana.  This Mr. Powell certainly is busy.

No way was I going to call a number without trying a Google search first.

Also gave me this # after saying that I think he was scamming me : 401-390-3707

Wow...same here. I looked up the email address that he had been sending emails from and it just doesn't seem right. If he can spend all this money on traveling to pick it up why not just go get a gown from a bridal store?

I got the same message. I even went as far as giving my information. Wow do I feel dumb. He also told me how he almost got ripped off and he trusts me. I can't believe this. What a joke.

Same message, selling dress in CA

I am selling my wedding dress on ksl and I got the same message from them. I told them I would not work through the mail due to scammers. They never emailed me back. I hate people that do this stuff.

I'm trying to sell a wedding dress too and apparently this guy has changed his name to Bill Fernandez but left his phone number the same. His daughter's name is now Amy.  Perhaps he has 2 daughters =P

He also had some story about how his daughter and he are moving to Rhode Island.
