I got a call and my employer got a call from this guy who said he was going to serve me a claim and that I had charges pending for fraud, unless I called a company called Nationwide. I called the nationwide and they said that this idiot did not represent them, but I told him that he did because he gave out their phone number. He said his name was Joseph O'Brien. He did not give a company name or attorney name. I think its a scam. The caller ID did not list a name.

Received a disturbing call from a girl named Brook Sanders saying my son who I have not had contact with for 2 years was in trouble with the law. I told her I had not contact with him for 2 years. I asked her what company she was with and she just said she worked for a Private locator. She was quite rude making me believe that something awful had happened to him. I tried to call the number back and it said it doesn't take messages.

SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!...........DON'T FALL FOR IT, THEY GET YOUR INFO OFF THE INTERNET.........DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION JUST HANG UP!

Yeah those bozos called me it violates your rights please report them asap!

I am so glad this information has been posted. These people called me about paying a debt I had no recollection of from three years ago. They called me at work three times asking to speak to HR, I didn’t know what I was going to do to resolve this situation. But I know now.

These idiots called me saying I had charges against me. They are scammers. Asking for my social security number. If this were true they would already have that info. Don't give them your private info, just hang up and report them.

I received a call on  my cell phone from this number (281-764-8701) from a man stating his was a private detective and was following up on a loan I co-signed. I repeatedly told him he had the wrong person, and he accused me of lying to a detective. I hung up on him and he called back wanting information.  He became angry when I told him to give me proof on who he was and I hung up again. He then called my home phone and my spouse told him to sue us if he was legit but that we would counter-sue for harassment. He said he was going to come to my house and hung up on my spouse.  

Report these incidents!  It;s a scam.  Do not give out any of your information.

They claim they are going to serve you papers, but are not process servers.  They are lowly illegal scammers posing as debt collectors.  The guy that called for me said his name was Charles Finley.

I received three calls and I did not answer the called.  Called the number back from another phone and could not get an answer.  Steve Smith  left a disturbing message that this was a final warning.  he said I had a case aaginst me and charges pending and that I needed to call some 18664458569 number.  He stated that I only had one opportunity to resolve this by calling this nunber.  He stated that i needed to provide my address and work address so that I could be serverd.

This morning, September 12, 2013, I received a call...they did not give a company name, they supplied a claim number and said to call back to give them my address so that I could get served for the charges and claims that have been brought against me.  I work in a government type agency and knew right away that if anyone had a charge filed against me...the local authorities would already have my info.  This is truly a scam.  The rep who left the message said that her name was Claire Gibson and left the number of 1-866-825-2386.  I've learned enough over the years to know that if you type in a phone number on the web, it will give you information and to do that before returning any suspicious calls.  I hope this helps.

This number, 12817648701, belongs to a legal collection service. They called me and asked for my sister, said there were chargers against her and that they need to serve her. I called my sister and gave her the info asking her why anyone would call my cell asking for her. She called me back a few minutites later telling me that was regarding a payday loan pay-back she'd fallen behind on. If you've been called by this number someone most likely put you down as a reference for some second rate, unsecured financing (payday loan, rent to own, etc.).

Its a debt collector. They called my cell asking for my sister. I told her call them and make sure they don't call my phone again. Turns out she had fallen behind on a payday loan and was avoiding them so they started calling family, etc.

Whatever you say, "Amy". Reps from a "legal collection service" do not need to play Junior Investigator and make foolish accusations of "fraud charges", (or to you, "chargers" ... AC or DC) implying that an alleged debtor is guilty of a crime. Those false threats happen to be illegal in North America. Your phantom sister calling back within "minutites" was missing in action while you were easily found? Yeah, that "loan reference" is called Accurint, Chex Systems, and other databases used routinely by skip tracers to needlessly hassle "nearbys" of their targets.

The same Guy keeps calling my phone looking for my boyfriend, who doesn't owe any loans.....He keeps saying its a matter of urgency, that he will be taken to court, "Now, you shouldn't be alarmed, but this IS a very serious matter"...blah blah blah. I called the number with the claim number he gave me. They claimed to be Nationwide, and when I asked for more information about the company, they said they could give none cause it was a liability....really, a business that cannot give out general contact information? Ignore the calls and don't give any info. This is crap.

These guys is calling and the claim is for someone I don't even know.  They left a claim number as well, Isn't this in violation part of the Consumer Credit Protection Act.  The name is Mr. Snow, other phone contact information: 1855-529-78604.  Which is an extra number added for some strange reason.

Hello, I just received a call from a guy identifying as Charlie Finley, phone number 832-924-3070, stating that he would come to my house tomorrow at 4pm, and he gave a docket number for a complaint filed against me.  It was a message.  He swallowed a few of his words, and spoke very quickly.  When you Google the name, there IS a law firm in Houston with this name, so he may be mis-using their info as well.
