selling truck lid craiglists got text messg saying going to send a chk name kelly

what did they say to you becuase this number contacted me

i just got the same thing im selling rims for a toyota im located in CA   and she said she would have her movers pick them up and she wanted to mail me a check, said she has more stuff in my are she has to pick up.  
Is this pretty muc the same story you got?

I have an add on craigslist too, and i got a text saying shes deaf so she can only text, and i gave her my address!!

Yes, I believe this a scam. I got the same text message. I dont know what would she do with peoples adresses. anyone have an idea?

this person is texting me about my add on craigslist, it is a local number where i live (tomball, tx), she says she is deaf and cant talk on the phone, goes by the name kelly, says she will send me a check with extra money to give to the mover that i have to give to him as a western union money order. i told her i know its a scam but go ahead and send the check and i will verify with my bank then give your number to the police if its fake.

I just got the same exact message for something I just listed today on craigslist. SOOOO Glad I checked this site.

I got the SAME message as all of you!!!  'Kelly' said she would buy my car, sight unseen and have her movers come pick it up.  I tried to call it back and it said it was a text free number, but I had texting her all day

Yep, just fell for the same crap. I'm in Dallas, Texas..  Same Kelly, same story, selling tires.
