I just called it back and the message says it's a consumer research company.  I'm not sure how they got my cell # but I received a similar call last night (I told them I was not interested and hung up).

When I received a call from this number I did not recognize, I just didn't answer.

My wife answered my cell phone for this call & they said they were from Advance Auto and doing a survey.  She said "I am his wife" and they hung up.  Wish we could find these creeps.

Well have been called 3 times and refuse to answer any calll I do not recognize. Thanx to all for sharing your information.

Came to an office phone at 625pm Sunday.  ID said "VOTER CONSUMER" and was surely junk. Did not answer. What are they doing calling a business to get voter opinions?  Bad methodology, if they're legit.

I was out of the house last evening when my cell phone rang so I didn't hear it sitting on my charger. When I checked the phone the next morning this number, 281-825-4339, was listed as a "missed call."  There was no voice message. I have been getting more and more unwanted calls on my cell phone which are wasting our family cell phone plan minutes.  Is there any way these people can be stopped from robbing our cell plan minutes?

Thanks to the person who left the info. But like another... I just don't answer calls I don't know. The only thing that came up on my ID was Texas. And no one I know calls me from there. And if the company wanted a call back, they didn't leave a message. I'm not calling them back either.

I wish I knew how to stop them robbing cell phone minutes. Complain to your Cell phone provider? That is where I would start. I didn't think you would get charged if they hang up before leaving a message. And I would bring that point up to my provider. Have your provider bill 281-825-4339. If it is a ligit business then you would think they would stop making these calls if they had to pay for making, and not completing them.

i got a call caller id self as John ; before he could start i interrupted him and asked him if he was wearing underware. he replied WHAT??? i repeated & he replied we cannot give out personal info. i replied if you won't answer my questions i won't answer yours. Told him never call back and hung up.
What is troubling he asked for me my name.     With these calls i hastle them and try to get  them to hang up

These people just called me but I didn't pick up the phone and they didn't leave a message. I wonder if this voter consumer research company is tied to Advance Auto Parts. I just purchased a battery from AAP and left my cell phone as the primary contact number.

My Wife and I have started messing with these scum suckers!  What we do is we answer the call and then tell them that "you need to talk to my Dad, hold on I'll go get him" then we lay the phone down for about 5 minutes.  I figure that sooner or later they'll figure this out and take us off their call list.  If not, at least while they are "waiting for my Dad" they don't have time to pester someone else!

Been thinking that I may just change my phone number and make it unlisted and unpublished since we're in for election cycles through 2012.  Had that once a long time ago and it worked pretty well.
