It's a job offer scam of course. But for the unknowing: (1) Look at the pay Vs. hours worked. $25.00 an hour? Plus benefits? They'd be lined up around the block. (2) Where, or when is the job interview? Hired, sight unseen? Given money? Sorry to tell you but 100% of all job offers by email, fax, or text are fake. Pay, benefits, qualifications are the usual giveaways.

Received same CraigsList ad for Wisconsin. Now using name of Mark Donald. Same response back as above. TOTAL SCAM!

A job offer in Corpus Christi Texas. VIA EMAIL! ! For a physical therapy assistant. Job filled of course offers 300.00 for 25 hrs of work contact person: Perry Santiago.  Be aware just received today 6-6-2014

I just received the same "personal assistant" job offer! Responded to ad on Tulsa Craigslist (Oklahoma).  The name is now Perry Santiago. I have also gotten a similar response (same information, pay, etc, just a little edited.) in Tulsa Craigslist two weeks ago. The name then was Andrew Hilton. Beware, people! Apparently this scam is getting worse!!!

Same email and certified ck from this Ryan Pedro. He is now calling my cell phone using the phone number 863-272-9611.....he is calling my cell phone and texting me....harrassing me because I told him he is a scammer and I was reporting him and his certified ck to the police. Now he won't stop!!!!!!

File a complaint with your local LE and also your phone service provider.  

Sending fake checks through the mail is a crime so contact the US Postal Service Inspectors:

If you have a cell phone and it doesn't have a call block feature, google your phone and free blocking apps,, one may work for you. For a landline, Devices hold way more numbers then phones do, google call blockers.

Take the check and the envelope in which it came to your local postoffice.  Give it to the postmaster.  (USPS will follow up, since that scammer used the mails to defraud).

Also, if you have a smart phone, visit your phone's app store, and download a phone blocker.
If your phone is not "smart", make a "group" called "scammers" (or something similar), assign a silent ring to that group, and add the scammers' phone numbers to it.

For the texts ...

   Forward the spam text message to SPAM (7726)
   You will then receive a text asking for the phone number that the text message was sent from; text that number back
   You will then receive a "thank you" text. No additional action is necessary.

I recieved the same email!!!!!!! thank God I didn't send him anything!!!! When I google + his email it was the name Neil
Yenardo. But nothing else!

It's a total scam , but I blocked his number. What was he telling you ? If you don't mind me asking you.

I just replied to this guy ! What's the gimmick ? Is he not real? I didn't give my address cause thats uncool but I gave name and number ...

I got this email, same letter with the name James Deluro. I replied like a dumbass, and then sent another email saying I wasn't interested. I received two money orders in the mail yesterday for $960 each. That amount wasn't even mentioned. What should I do?

Chances are exceptionally good that the money orders are fakes or forgeries.  You can do two things: 1) shred them and forget about it; 2) go to your bank, ask to speak with someone who handles fraud,  Bring the money orders and the envelopes and any instructions on what to do with the money orders with you. Explain the situation and ask if they can investigate and/or turn the materials over to the proper authorities who can investigate this type of fraud.

No legitimate entity would send out real money orders on such a flimsy basis as a single email expressing interest in their offer.

Take them to the Postal Inspector - they investigate mail fraud, which this certainly is.  What happens, is the sender asks you to deposit the checks, keep so much for yourself and wire the remainder to a "shipper/associate/friend".  If you do this, the checks will come back as stolen, counterfeit, or otherwise no good and you'll be out not only the money you sent, but perhaps also charged with passing "forged instruments".
