I emailed, then I got some sob story about a death and a well paying job but they needed my PayPal account and various other info like my address to pay me.

I got the same email again and it's scripted to make it found like they're placing great trust in me.

I asked questions and the last email didn't answer anything. So I emauld back that this is weird and I'm not comfortable and to find  someone else.

Sorry to tell you it's a scam & a well known one. Very common on 800 notes posts. The scam is just too obvious. Who pays someone cleaning their house by Paypal? What am I? eBay?

Pretty much the scam would work like this:

They ask you to do work for whatever you charge.
They ask you for the email address linked to your PayPal account, because "PayPal is secure and protected" or such excuse.
They say they will pay you up front for what you are asking.
You get an invoice from PayPal to your email saying the money has been deposited into your account.
You then get a message from the person, saying they have changed there mind, or they paid you too much, or the extra funds they sent you need to be wired or pre-paid money card somewhere for whatever reason.
They want you to wire transfer or prepaid money card the money they "sent" you.
So, you refund, return, or forward the funds as instructed via wire transfer or pre-paid money card.
You then find out the PayPal invoice you received was fake, it was actually sent by the scammer... remember they asked you for your PayPal email address.
The money you sent, via wire or card, is unrecoverable and was picked up by the scammer.
You are out the money you sent.

Got this message via txt:
"Hello, i'm Melissa.Texting you from work for cleaning Rooms ,Are you available for cleaning Next week ? in (Kitchener, ON)? Kindly contact me by electronic address melissaleblanc402@gmail.com  . for more Details.Melissa"
Exact same story as the post above from Maribel.
I tried to get the address from her and she kept giving me excuses. Seemed very strange to me. Said they were going to send me a certified cheque.

I just got a message from someone form 1-289-335-7228 (nowhere near my area code) saying  "i'm in search of a serious cleaner, if you are email ,e now: Inslisa58@gmail.com thanks.Lisa" It sounded suspicious so I looked up the phone number in a search engine and it brought me to this site. I texted this person back and asked for an address. No response. Obviously a scam.  For some odd reason the cleaning ads have been targeted a lot with scammers. If you have a cleaning company, be extra diligent about the possibility of a scam artist contacting you. It's ridiculous, but some people scam others for a living.

I have had the exact same text message today except it specified the town I live in (convenient), I just deleted it straight away as I knew it wasn't sincere. I honestly don't know what the point is - wasting peoples time and getting their hopes up thinking they have work.

Same text --- though we do accept paypal... without them getting our email address...
If they put money in our paypal account its as good as cash.. it's not a checking account where by the bank allows you access to your money before it's verified.  Paypal doesn't work like that
