    It must be a new scam, called ID shows "UNAVAILABLE",   I picked up the call and it was a recording: it's final notice from  IRS, it will be a lawsuit against you, must call 202-xxx-xxxx (don't remember the last digits) to find out details ,,,

    got a call today about the IRS filing a lawsuit against me with a voicemail directing me to call 210-418-5061.
    Obviously a scam because the IRS will always send a letter.

    It is a scam. Friends of ours got suckered in on this and it cost them several thousand dollars. The hook is you are to purchase gift debit cards from a certain card company and call the numbers on the cards in to the "IRS" for payment of your fine. There is not a way you can get your money back, because the card company does not exist.
