This is a call from a group claiming to be the IRS

Claim I owe back taxes from 2004 thru 2012.
Want me to send them $200 by Western Union...claiming to be the IRS.

Same thing with me, daughter used turbo tax and called the 1-866 number for help and these people called me after a dropped call with turbo tax automated service. Guy was Officer Jack Rogers ( middle eastern accent) badge id number 94299, asked my nervous 19 year old first time filier if she had an attorney is when i was wondering what would happen. He informed me that she owed $1425 to the IRS, I told him he was full of it because she didnt even pay that much last year. He asked me my name and I told him that I was going to contact my CPA, at that point he told me to lose the phone number and hung up on me.

They called claiming I owe taxes in the amount of ,94,000

Received a call from this number yesterday.  Caller also claimed to be calling from the IRS.  Ironically, I live not too far from Williamsport Md. where the caller ID said the call originated.  Williamsport is a very small town, and may not even have a H&R Block office let alone and IRS building.  The caller asked for the name and number of my criminal attorney.  I made up a name and gave him a 800 phone sex number.....I'm sure this will not stop the calls, but made me feel good for a few minutes.

I got a call from the 301-223-3009 but I did not answer. A lady left a voicemail claiming I needed to call back to discuss my IRS bill she said her badge number was 94290. Since I had just filed taxes taxes I thought it might have something to do with that because I did it on my own this year. I called back and a guy by the name of Jack Rogers badge #94299 answered and told me I owed taxes from 2008-2012. He told me I needed a criminal lawyer along with a few other things I couldn't understand due to his heavy accent. I informed him that he had the wrong info and I didn't know what the hell he was talking about because I didn't file taxes in 2008-2012 as I'm only 19 and was 11 in 2008. He asked when I got my first job and I replied three years ago dumb@$$. He proceeded to say "the IRS must have mistake" and hung the phone in a matter of seconds.

I just filed my taxes with a family member that has filed them for me for the last 5yrs and all of a sudden i receive a call saying i owe $1000 in back taxes since 2008 and if i didnt pay it in an hour i was going to go to jail and that they sent somebody to my address and they even had my address saying they had the paperwork and they said they needed my info for my attorney i was very upset and keep trying to get the person to explain how this was possible and they wouldnt explain it they just keep saying the same thing over and over again .

This is the second time I have gotten this call from someone claiming to be from the IRS. They keep telling me that if I do not pay y bill of $1500.00 (I started laughing at this point which really irritated the man) right away or they are going to send someone to arrest me.  I tell them that I will be waiting with bells on and hang up.   I laughed because my husband & I are are actually paying off back taxes to the real IRS and I wish it was only $1500.00.  I have alerted the IRS and filed a complaint with the FTC.

301-223-3009 called me claiming they are doing a criminal IRS Investigation so I called from another number and a heavy accent man answered saying hello I asked him what company is this he said who are you looking for. I tell him I received a call from this number then he tells me what my number is I tell did it not show you just called me so we went back and forth for a few mintues I gave him a fake number then he tells me this is not the number we called. I said what IRS company are you and why are you calling me if this is just a scam so he tells me REALLY like 5 times and asked me why I called back. I told him I was recording him for the police and to get me off his list and stop calling and Harrasing me. He kept saying REALLY!!! so I hung up on him but you know it is a scam so dont answer their call and I have confirmed with IRS about this and they stated that they would send out a letter asking you to call them the legal way.

Got a call today from 301/223/3009 saying I owe the IRS 1265 for 2008 thru 2012 then when I got to asking questions they hung up on me this is crazy man's name Sam Johnson ID# 3105

Called claiming to be irs and owe back taxes....no answer at # when called it

Received a call this morning at 6:30 stating I had committed tax fraud and that i needed to call back with of SSN and a criminal lawyer, etc.  I knew it was tax scam!!!

Same exact thing happened to me this morning. Same message and badge number. I'm glad I came to this site first. Sounds like an awful scam.

I get 30 calls a day from various numbers similar to this and they are all some arab sounding [***]. this [***] is pissing me off. i block 5 new numbers a day and they still manage to call me. i think I'm going to have to just get a new number now.

I got the call from the 301 223-3009 telephone number and spoke with the fellow by the name of Jack Rogers as well. When he requested information about my criminal defense attorney I told him that I was an attorney in fact.I asked if he was with the CID and he apparently didn't know who the CID was.  Then I said that I wanted him to schedule a meeting with the Criminal Investigation Division(CID) of the IRS and to get them on the line with him right at that moment. He immediately hung up.

I have received several Robocalls from this number claiming to be from the IRS and that I must call them back immediately or I could be prosecuted. The first time I called them via the number they provide in their Robocall, I was told they were looking for someone named Jose. I told them that I didn't know anyone by that name and to please remove my number from their records. Over the following week, I received several more calls from this fraud, of which I ignored as I know it does not pertain to me, but today I answered the phone again to the same Robocall. I again called them and was again told they were looking for someone named Jose. I repeated what I stated before and started to tell the guy that I had asked previously that they stop calling me and he hung up on me. I immediately called back as I was going to ask to speak to his supervisor to complain about his customer service ineptitude, but he would not answer the phone. He just kept hanging up after answering. After the 5th attempt, he finally answered threatening me, stating he would have me arrested because I was harrassing the IRS. Really? I've read on other websites where these people are trying to scam others out of money and are actually telling them to send money...they didn't ask me for any money...are they targeting minorities or people who sound uneducated? Probably so, but if anyone is receiving a fraudulent call from this number, report them to the FCC, the FTC, and the National Do Not Call Registry (if you are listed). I was told to do this by the actual IRS when I contacted them about this individual.

Got a call that said i had tax fraud and has 30 min to pay $ 600 or the feds will come get me.
