A message left claimed Maryland homeowners can get free solar panels.  Press 1 to talk to salesperson; 9 to be removed from their list (they claim).

Company does not leave a name or another contact number.

Called on cell but left no call back.

Carpet cleaning - not the 1st call for this service

Called on my cell, said I was past customer of their carpet cleaning company.  NOT TRUE.

Nobody is answering when you answer the call!

No one responds when you pick up the call.  Auto-calling, already caught one sucker, apparently.

No one responded.  Called back... the line is not receiving calls.  I guess I am part of their database of active numbers.  I wonder when the real fishing call will come in.

Yep, got this same call as well, posing as a "Carpet Cleaning Company." No info about company, only "Press 1 to leave voicemail, and Press 9 to be taken off the list." When I call back, I get "Sorry, no one can return your call at this time."

Has "SCAM" written all over it. I just wish I could figure out a REAL number to call them at and waste their time, maybe even prank them :P

Typical scam call - phone number I don't recognize, so I let it go. They always hang up before VM kicks in. That's what happened from this ph number. No message left.

John, you are part of their database of active numbers because you called their number back.  Since you called them back they KNOW your number is an active and working number!  I can't understand why people bother to call them back...doing that is just plain STUPID.  When you do that you will simply get more scam and unwanted calls.

I agree with the person who stated ,not to call back. You are just digging yourself in to a bigger hole. When these people call me wanting or trying to sell me whatever, I just hang up. I don't fell bad doing that to them, because they hang up on me , when I tell them to get lost nicely""""""

CID is Nanjemoy MD, a town I've never heard of, in Maryland.  Same story for me, I don't recognize the call, so I don't answer, knowing that it is a fraudulent attempt to rob me of my hard-earned money.  DNC, at the very least, let's me know that any call that is unknown is an attempt to fleece.  No voicemail, here, either.  When will all of this be addressed by the authorities?  That's a rhetorical question, by the way.  I don't need to know that this is not the place to have the question answered.  Call came at 9:13AM, EDT, this morning.

Called and left the usual carpet cleaning message from "The Carpet Cleaning Company" (nice generic name that is untraceable).

I live in Georgia, but have a 703 area code number.  So I thought I would mess with their minds by pressing "1" and asking if they would drive from Maryland to Georgia and clean my carpets.

So I pressed "1" and nothing happens.   I suspect they are harvesting phone numbers or something and if you press "1" for more info or press "9" to be removed, it verifies that the phone number is live or something.

Very weird.  Why robocall, and then not answer the calls?

There was an article in the Washington Post about a carpet cleaning scam recently.  They call and make an appointment, quote one price, and then say it needed "extra cleaning" and then quote a different price.   Maybe the same folks, who knows?

Some sort of scam - they are violating the DNC registry to be sure.
