Verizon uses this mumber to make follow-on courtesy calls.  Recently had the Verizon FIOS Triple-Play package installed.  Received courtesy call the next day from Verizon who wanted to ask a few questions about the performance of the technician during the installation.

Although it can be annoying, it comes as no surprise that no messages were left.  I live by the creed, "If it is important, they'll leave a message or call back."  Verizone calls back hoping to speak to the customer.

This call came claiming to be a technician from verizon and getting us to verify information about "services" that we had ordered.  I just phoned Verizon wireless.  It is a fraudulent number.  It is not one used by Verizon at all.

This is true Verizon number. Courtesy call.

Non working number at Verizon.  Don't bother calling it back.  I am having fios installed tomorrow so I assume that is why they are calling.

Received a call from this number today.  No Voicemail message was left.  I am having Verizon FiOS installed tomorrow, so odds are very good that it was a legit call from Verizon as some above comments have suggested.

According to http://phones.whitepages.com/301-282-7100 the "Prefix (301) 282- is leased by Verizon", so this is probably a legitimate Verizon caller.
