- Diane B| 2 repliesLong rambling recorded message when I answered. Very thick accent, said he was calling from the IRS, but never mentioned my name or my husband's name. Said that needed to have me or our lawyer contact them right away. Gave his name as "John Parker" (I think - hard to understand). Message concluded by saying that if I chose to ignore the call then all he could do was wish me a nice day.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

Identified himself as "Officer John Parker" in a thick accent and said it was urgent I or my legal representative contact him immediately. Did not identify where he was from, what the issue was or that he knew my name.

- Charlotte PoliceI called this phone umber back and told him that I was a police Officer. He immeditelly seemed affraid. I asked him for the name of his company and he said it was IRM. I asked him for his name and he said he was Victor. He did not give me a last name. I asked him if he had a last name. He told me his last name was Parker. I aked him why he ws telling people that he was a police officer. He said that he was not telling anyone that. He said that he was only selling his product.

- MichelleDid not answer but he left a cut off message but got that his name was Officer John Parker, had a thick accent. I knew something did not sound right, anytime, anyone who does not sound legit I check the phone number out via this method, thanks to all who have put comments in here prior, definitely helps others out to whether a scam or not..
