Called me several times while I was out. Came home and found their calls on my Caller ID. They did not leave messages. I checked the phone number online and found that it belongs to John H Farrell (301) 762-6650. Further research revealed that this number is associated with Police Protection Fund. Also found lots of complains connected tot he fund. Beware!

Received call with ID of Police Protectiv.  Did not answer as I did not recognize the ID or the number.  Same people called me last year at this time looking for donations.  Very pushy.

Picked up, they sang a song to me. i hung up on them

They called and hung up when I answered

I just got a call from them.  When I picked up, it was ringing.  I hung up.

Glad I didn't pickup and then found this site to let me know not to answer next time either. Thanks for being a valuable resource providing site. The call came at 1520 hrs on 2/28/2007

Picked up, got no response on the other end, so I hung up.

Called the past three evenings during the 6:30 to 7:00 time period.
Have caller ID. Didn't answer.

*IF* you answer the call. . . . ask them what PERCENTAGE of the funds they collect actually go to the charity they say they are collecting for.  They are required by law to provide this information.  I've never received a solicitation call where the percentage was higher than 15%.  Totally unacceptable.  

Called 30 minutes ago. Wanted to "confirm" my telephone, name, and address (he had all three already). When declined, caller got hostile and verbally abusive/threatening. Asked for name, agency's name, and supervisor but was denied all three. Phone number search pulls up a "John Ferrell" of Potomac, MD. Reported phone call and incidence to local police.

They called me and asked for Mr. Ellis and I said they weren't here and they said we will try later.

Recieved call today at 2:06.  I picked up. I heard a muffled noise and they hung up.  I called back and got an automated message about the Police Protective Fund.

Received call 3/5/07, 6:32 pm, Caller ID indicates: "Police Protection", they hung up when I answered.

Received call 3/6/2007, 7:30pm.  I answered, heard someone talking to someone else for about 2 seconds, and they hung up.
