Less than 5 hours after a text message about shipping a wedding dress to Africa I got a second text message on the same wedding dress.

This is a kijiji ad posted in a small Ontario Canada town.  Odds of 2 people from US calling on the same day is too strange for me.

I won't email back and I have no intention of following up... just a gut feeling.

Typical Nigerian Scam for an item I had placed and ad online.....

you don't already have one


I have a private courier agent that will come for the pick up after
the payment has been made so no shipping included, I will make a
confirmed pick up arrangement with my Courier shipping agent who will
be coming over for pick up once you receive full payment into your
PayPal account. My shipping agent will handle everything perfectly
whenever they come for the pick up.

Please can you provide me with the following information:

Contact Mobile Number

As soon as you get back to me with the info I will make the payment
and instruct my agent for pick up. Excited to be dealing with you.

I received the exact text and email from the same John Lipton...I figured it was a scam...amazing, word for word! Maybe I am naive but what's the scam....I thought Paypal was secure?

I got the same text and email from John Lipton too yesterday after I posted an ad in kijiji for a dress for sake too! I'm going to keep stringing him along and telling him ill get the info he wants ASAP. 2 can play this game! He's such an idiot. Don't fall for this scam.
