Maryland area code. I have some contacts in Maryland so I called the number back. A rude woman said I had qualified for $7000 in grant money from the federal government that I wouldn't have to pay back. (That's the definition of a grant, lady.) When I said, "that's nice but I don't need it", she yelled "[***] you!" I said "excuse me?!" and she repeated it. She hung up after I told her that was uncalled for and she needed to learn better customer service skills. Obviously a scam! A man also answered when I called back again to complain about the bimbo.

Someone called from this number. I didn't answer, because I'm tired of these spams numbers.... and nobody left me a message.

Grant solicitation message. Message says that you have qualified for a grant and gives you an approval code, then the call back number.

Definitely telemarketing --- TELEMARKETING. Don't waste your time.

I just got the same lady, very rude when I told her to remove our number. kept yelling f**k you.

Received call by my husband when he tried to put me on the phone they hung up.  I called back and told them that we were talking with them and they hung up again. Called from another phone, they answered and said I was one of 700 people who had won a $7000. grant from the US Federal Government because I had not been convicted of a crime, pay my bills and had not filled for bankruptcy.  After saying this they asked for my age and initials so they could give me my ID number, they obviously did not have any specific information regarding me.  They were going to give me a supervisor so that the money could be transferred to my account today.  I told them that my US Federal Government does not give grants in this manner and that this was a scam and hung up.  Do not waste time with these people they are trying to get your bank account information so that they can empty your money from your account!!

My mom received a message from them. She only called back because she was waiting to hear back about a grant for her meds. She got suspicious when they asked for her account info. I googled it and found this, and I'm happy we did,  thanks for posting

I keep receiving phone calls from this number on my cell phone. It is a man with a foreign accent who states that there is free medical money. I told him more than once that I am  not interested, that he is calling a cell number, and to remove me from his call list, but the calls keep coming. They do not answer when I call back and they do not leave messages if you don't answer.

I rejected this phone call and googled it to find out is this is a call I needed to take.  Saw the posts and I am glad I rejected it.  I added it to my reject list on cell phone settings.  Not going to waste my time again.  Thanks everyone for the heads up! :-)

I go a call from this number. I'm agree is a scam so I didn't bother answering. There was a computer-generated message saying to call the number. Not!

I received a call from this number and upon answering the lady asked for someone that did not work here. I explained politely that she was calling a business and to please take us off there call back list. She screamed, and I quote "F... You" and hung up. I called back twice trying to speak with a supervisor, and both times (1 time the lady and the other time a man, both with foreign accents told me the same thing with the same language!!

3/14/15 13:04 PDT  Almost answered since I am expecting service visit, but realized, they would not be calling from MD since I am in So Cal.  Another idiot, after several seconds of voice mail  helloing with lots of boiler room noise in the background.  At least I didn't get long-winded spiel.  Fool hung up after another few seconds.

Got a call tonight from someone saying I was selected to receive a government grant. $7,000 in cash that I didn't have to pay. I played along with it to the point where he wanted to know my checking account, or debit card number. He spoke terrible English.. I told him to speak English, I couldn't understand a word he was saying. He got offended.. Then said "F You" and hung up..

I can't believe people fall for this... Especially if they call after 7 on a Saturday Night..

Kept getting these calls and sick of getting scammed. Im not sure what to do other than share what happened to me.

I received a call from this number on Mon. March 23, 2015 @ 7:40am.   It was a computerized recording from the federal government telling me that I was going to be given a grant for  $7,000.oo and to call a certain phone number.   I didn't  have time to get a pen & paper to write that  number down, so I called back to the 301 area code number and got a recording that asking me to leave my contact info and someone would get back in touch with me.
      If and when my call is returned, I'm going to act as if I'm all excited, asking questions, giving them fake numbers and then I'll ask them what color their eyes are.   If they ask why I want to know, I'm going to tell them that they're so ready to [***] me and I just want to know the color of their eyes ! ! !

I was left a voice mail that said that they were from the government, looking to liquidate a loan and gave me a number to call back from 11-7 ET... Sorry... not going to fall for this one, either....
