They are a recording from Betty of the Cleaning Service who are bogus, and using a VoIP number to see if you are a live number for one of those "for sale" lists or some schytte like DAT.

703-842-7252 calls my home and cell phone numbers regularly. I have become so exasperated, I have called back and given them my numbers and told them to not call me again -- probably not a smart thing to do, but with the phone constantly ringing with all these jerks, it would take up all one's time to try to block the numerous calls that come in daily. They leave a message that they are calling about a carpet cleaning service. When you call back, you have to leave your name and number for a call back.

Another site reports this is a Google Voice VOIP gateway in Clear Spring, MD suspected of producing heavy spam activity!

Tape recorded call from Betty of Carpet Cleaning in Clearwater, MD. This is a new cell phone number assigned to me two days ago, so it is amazing that I am getting robocalls already. I mistakenly clicked 9 to be removed, so that will probably just get me more calls rather than removal as promised by the tape recording. When will the FCC  and Justice Dept. start prosecuting these robocallers?

I missed a call from 301-842-7252 from with caller ID displaying: Clear Spring, MD on my home phone @ 4:30 PM without leaving a voice mail/message.  After conducting an exhaustive search with reverse engineering on this phone number and other websites, I learned it’s a tape recorded call from Betty of Carpet Cleaning in Clear Spring, MD. This is a new cell phone number assigned to me two days ago, so it is amazing that I am getting robocalls already. By responding to phone messages to request to be removed from their call list will only generate further unwanted robocalls.  Best practice is to avoidance or report these annoying robocalls and/or avoid taking phone calls that you do not recognize, especially those calls that hang-up before going to voice-mail or fail to leave a voice message.

Suggest you contact the Better Business Bureau that Consumers reported automated phone calls.  This particular caller ID number registers as a land-line from Aspen Hill, Bethesda, Bowie, and Clear Spring, MD, but may originate from a variety of different phone numbers.  Consumers need to be aware that ‘web surfing’ on the internet to advertised special offerings, or $100 gift card to products/services will generate a “Call List” that can be bought or sold to Third Party or unnamed businesses. BBB warns consumers to use extreme caution and refrain from providing personal information including debit or credit card information to unknown or unverifiable parties. If you are on the Federal Do Not Call List and have received these calls you may file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission - See more at:   http://www.bbb.org/council/

Recommend you register your phone number with the FCC “Do Not Call” registry.  Continue to file your complaints with the FCC, Justice Dept., and/or Phone Service Providers of these Robocalls start prosecuting for violating the FCC Do Not Call registry.

Buddy Beddy the Carpet Cleaner wants my business but I think it is a rouse to steal something more precious than my exotic floor coverings. I elected to block this number and you would be wise to do the same. She seems hard up...
