Recieved a call from this number informing me to about refinancing my home, it was a recording. I don't even own a house.

301-882-9986  Came through as Maryland call. They didn't leave a message

I got a call from this number.  When I answer it, it rings as if I was making a call and a recording appologizes that it "cannot perform this action"??????

No message....3 times in last 2 days

I received calls from 301-882-9986. Nobody responds when phone is picked up and no message is left when call goes to voice mail. My phone company Verizon was not helpful and suggested I google the number and mentioned it was probably a telemarketer company with auto redial...Thanks for not being able to assist with annoyance calls Verizon !

Six times today, with six hangups. when I attempted to return the call, it won't go through.

This number has been calling my home number and cell number this is annoying. everytime that i pick up the phone to answer this call, a lady comes on and says sorry but we cannot help you. please stop calling!!

While at work today, 5/8/2008, I received this call twice.  The first time it rang and I received the message "cannot perform this action," as others have heard before as well.  The second time there was nothing or nobody on the other end.  Returning the call gives me the message "The number you dialed is not in service."

I guess they could be spoofing caller ID, in which case who knows where it really originated from.

I just called the phone company and reported this, they gave me a number to call to get this annoyance call blocked. The number is 1-800-582-0655.

We have gotten dozens and dozens of calls from this number, we have 3 lines and they call all three. arrgh, even the cell phone gets it.

My husband thinks maybe it's the gummint trying to tap the lines.

It does no good to call the phone company at 800-582-0655, best thing to do is to go to the FTC online and file a DO NOT CALL REGISTRY Violation complaint, calling them is also a waste of time. Of course you would need to be on the DO NOT CALL list to do this.

Got this call several times in listed as out of state, don't know who they are or why they are calling but please stop it !!!!

OK..EVERYONE....I found this number on White pages search. The company is CORE COMMUNICATIONS...and they are based in Baltimore, MD. They have a office phone number of 410-962-1580. I tried calling the number and it does not answer with a recording. We all have the same problem. I suggest that we all try to call this number Tuesday during the day. If they do NOT answer, lets UNITE and call the FCC. I will get the form we need to file for a complaint. Does everyone agree? Any other suggestions? These people must be stopped and our phone company will NOT help us!n

I think we need to call the attorney general in maryland to file a complaint about this caller. I tried calling Core Communication at their alternate # 410-962-1580....no answer.

I called the Maryland AG (Attorney General). I filed a complaint. Please help out by going to WWW.OAG.STATE.MD.US ...then fill out the general complaint form for this number caller 301-882-9986. This will help them know that more than one person is complaining. They will respond. If we all do this, we can stop this telemarket scammer.

How did you find the association between this phone # (301-882-9986) and Core Communication? I'm going to need this information if I am to file a report with Attorney General in Maryland.

Believe me, I really want to, since I am getting tired of these calls.

I went to the white pages in Maryland (which is the source of the calls) and did a reverse phone search. It brought up the name of the company as 'Core Communications!' I have filed a complaint with the AG in Maryland...and just filed a complaint with the FCC.

Hung up on me... called back and said not in service... grrrrrrrrrr.  Now they have my name and know I'm a live one.
