Login to your service provider; find the list of calls; click or right click on the call and use the "block" menu option to block these MFs for good. Spread this message to others too.

That's not always an option.  For landline phones, you really have to have a phone that stores blocked numbers or a standalone call blocker that stores them for you because the phone companies (at least Verizon) only allow you to block a few numbers (maybe 5 or 6) and one spammer can go through that many in a few hours.  My landline has a limit of 250 numbers, and I have to go through them every couple of months and delete some to make room for the new ones.  As for cell phones, it also depends on your service and/or your phone.  For example, I have consumer cellular with a very basic flip phone, and I can't block any numbers at all, either with the phone or through the service.  So, if I didn't have a landline and depended on only my cell, as many people do these days, I would have no way whatsoever to block any number.

CID Silver Spring MD. Was blocked by my automated call blocking service. By the way, Verizon now allows many more numbers on the call blocked list, not like it used to be.

It would be helpful if you spoke English, instead of computerstupid.  "...login to your service provider..."  Wtf is "login"; what (or who) is a "service provider" ?  What "service" does this mythical "service provider" provide?  "...list of calls"  from who to whom?  Calls over what period of time?  "...click or right click"  ?? "use the block menu option"???  I'd be glad to "spread this message" , that is, if I knew wtf it was/is.

Seems pretty clear to me that the poster is suggesting that people can log in to their account with their phone provider and block any unwanted calls.  Of course, this is dependent upon the person having a phone service that allows them to block calls.
There -- see -- not at all difficult for the average person to understand.

Got a (pre-recorded) call from this number.  Initially, I thought it was a legitimate call from a local company, just trying to "drum up" some business.  That is, until they lied (on the pre-recorded message, but a lie nevertheless), saying something like I was an old customer.  I try to arrange my life so that I don't have to lie, and so I never knowingly "do business" with anyone who lies - and that eliminates these "people" right away.  Be that as it may, it appears they are trying to arrange some sort of carpet or upholstery cleaning - if anyone believes that part of the conversation.  Since I will ignore them, this will remain just one of life's mysteries.  Oh, well, in the words of the ancient prophet - F**k 'em
