Received call from man with Indian accent with Much conversation in background.  He said my computer was interfering with their tech center.  When I asked to explain he rambled on with a bunch of nonsense and I hung up.  Does not identify his company.

Unidentified woman said 'hello' twice, as if she didn't hear the voice mail announcement & then hung up . There was a lot of garbled backgound conversation.

Don't trust a phone call from 302-268-6936.  They said they are located in Ohio.  I looked it up with the area code of 302 and found out it's from Delaware.  They called and said that my computer had been hacked and they could fix it by getting into my computer and that they were from Microsoft.  Next thing I knew, my operating system wasn't right after taking it in the shop.  Best thing to do is hang up and tell them to never call you again.  They are just trying to scam people out of their hard earned money and possibly steal people's identity. Also, they give themselves American names when they sound like they are from India.

Got a call from Windows Service Center saying my computer has been hacked. Said Names were Steven Marley and John Wilson one sounded American and the other Indian. Almost gained access to my computer told me that someone was trying to hack into my computer through windows. This is the number they gave me 302 268 6936 to call back. I clicked off and told them that I didn't know them and they hung up really quick. Called number back unable to understand message.

A lot of corporations are registered in Delaware due to its liberal (towards business) laws and regulations.
But I don't know if the business associated with this particular telephone number is registered in Delaware.
It is definitely not a toll-free number, so people should be aware of that before calling that number.

After using Yahoo Search on that telephone number, I found two businesses in the search results.

This telephone number appears prominently in the upper left corner of both webpages.

Both claim to be in the Microsoft Partner Network, with the number 4285992.
I don't know how to verify that number.

Scammers hide their identity behind proxy services and privacy services.
One location hides, the other does not.

It might be that the business has a rogue employee who is :
making scam phone calls, or
has a buddy/relative who is making the calls
to create more "business"

Or the owner might be doing this. After all, there is only so much local business, there are local competitors, and advertising is expensive !!

Just had call from same number ( after lengthy conversation ) said my computer had been hacked and they worked for  microsoft windows.  Walked me through event viewer but nothing there.  Told them i worked computer helpdesk for 15 years and not going to let them into my computer unless they can prove who they are ( i am indeed having issues i cannot fix ).  Told them i would google their number and call them back.  They hung up.  Found this link in google.  Malwarebytes cannot find anything.  Would love to have someone help with my issues but i would steer clear of this company.  Talked to 3 people and all have thick indian accents but then again, what support desk doesn't anymore??
Never ever deal with anyone without verification.
Also been getting alot of important irs calls lately.  Just another scam.  But never found out what it was.  But then again was never going to let them into my computer.

Exactly the same as John above. Spoke with three different people with heavy Indian Accents and they were very pushy. They did not want me to look up their phone number and kept telling me to type in " www . fastheal.net " from the run command.

Pure scam... Someone needs to shut them down

Received a phone call today May 11/1015 at 5:05 pm  from a guy with Indian accent telling me that he was calling from Microsoft to let me know that my computer was hacked. He said not to turn the computer on until I was at home in front of my computer to help me through. I told him that I was on my way home and he can call later, on the second call I wanted to have some information and I asked for a name and phone to call when I arrive home and he gave me  the name of Sean Harris and the phone number 302 268 6936

Received a call from group with heavy Indian accent from "Window's Technical Support" indicating they were picking up signals that someone was trying to hack my computer.  The first guy wanted me to go to the front of my computer.  I explained it would be unusual for someone to call me about this, then the supervisor got on the phone.  He identified himself as Shawn Harris- he gave me the number 302-268-6936 to verify that he was this person (he said he was Pilipino and he was in California).   I told him that I would contact Microsoft instead and he ended the conversation.

I received a call last night and were told the same issues. I spoke to 3 different people - all had accents.
Seems like this phone number has been used for awhile now. I do'nt understand why it isn't shut down.
They wanted to charge 199.00 for 3 years I think and 299.00 for a lifetime warranty...Transferable to boot...
They had me call 302-268-6936 to verify they were real people. The person who answered the phone identified the company as Windows technical Support. I was supposed to ask for Mr. Ria JR and they had him come to the phone. Then I hung up and went back to the house phone. I went on the microsoft website and it is a known scam.

Began receiving calls on my cell phone from 210-10.  They said they were calling me through a VOIP (Voice Over Internet Phone) and that they are with the Windows Service Center. The first lady I could hardly understand, so eventually a guy named John Wilson took over.  He had me get into eventvwr and showed me some errors on my computer.  Actually there were over 44,000 errors.  Then he wanted me to download fastheal.net.  I did a quick search on this and found it has nothing to do with Windows.  When I began pushing for verification, he gave me this number: 302-268-6936.  When I called it on my home phone, the guy that answered sounded like he was in the same noisy room as the first guy.  He assured me that they are with the Windows Service Center.  At that point, I'd had enough and hung up.  Then, the guy tried to call me back about 5 times before I finally turned my phone off.

The guy was calling me back from this number: 661-748-0240.

Same experience as those below: heavy accent, calling from Windows, my computer being hacked, wanted me to go in front of my computer, etc.  I told him there was no way I would do this for someone calling me.  I told him to give me his name and number and I would check him out and call back if anything further was to be done.  He gave me the number noted in all of the messages below and said his name was "Albert".  Here I am and won't be calling him back.  Thanks to everyone who reported.

Why would they hide business information? Because they aren't actually in the US? Hmmmmm.
