A person named Peggy called identifying herself as an out of state caller regarding my auto insurance policy.

Caller left a message saying "We need you to call us back or the phone number of the person currently representing you." Did not leave a name or a company name. I'm just curious as to how they got my private cell number when it was changed recently and only friends and family have it, makes me wonder if t-mobile doesn't sell their customer information. I have not put this number on any formal documents or with any banks.

I had a call at my job from this number 302-283-2800 ext 2102 and she said her name was Ms Roberts.  Couldn't understand the name of business and it doesn't sound like what is above.  Something about a complaint against me.  Seems odd to me.

Just received a call from Simm Associates saying I owe 2500 on a discovery card which by the way, never had one.... when I asked for information about this case they refused to say anything, they didn't even give a name and the lady was very rude. When I asked to speak to a supervisor i was told " oh you want a supervisor... I'm going to give you a supervisor" I was laghing during conversation, that made this lady very mad... anyway I was put on hold and just had an answering machine... strange isn't it???

I just got a nasty call this morning from this number(302-283-2800)informing my husband that he was a laywer and that he was going to sue us for an outstanding credit card debt. When my husband informed him that they were included on bankrupt and released our laywer's name and number he became irate and informed us that he was also going to have charges pressed against us if we didn't pay a lump sun of $250 today. When my husband informed him that we didn't have that kind of money due to me being ill and almost dying earlier this year, he informed my husband that I should of went ahead and died because it was scammers like us that makes the world horrible. He also herd our son in the background and he threatened to call DFS on us and have him taken away because if we couldn't make  a payment to him today that we were unfit parents and didn't desirve to have a child. By far are we unfit parents.  our son is clothed fed well and happy as hell! I"m turning him into BBB as well as my laywer is going to file a complaint against him. By the way,the guy's name is D.L Baird who called us.

i just received a phone call from this place last night informing me of "a case pending a decision", and i knew it was a collection agency. ALL of my bills are current with payments on time so i knew something was wrong. each time i tried to call the direct extension left by "megan foster" it went to voicemail. i called a fourth time and went to the operator who forwarded me to another agent/caseworker/whatever who proceeded to tell me that the call was regarding my "visa". i said that i am not overdue on ANY of my accounts and she continued to tell me that i owed money on my visa with "merrick" bank. i told her that i have NEVER EVER had an account with this company, and she insisted that i had an account with them. it was obvious that she was on the brink of becoming VERY nasty with me as i continued to stand my ground. i continued to tell her that i have NEVER had a visa card with "merrick" bank, and i have never even heard of "merrick" bank.

finally the woman on the line asked me my birthdate and my middle initial. upon verifying that they were calling the WRONG person she rather unapologetically told me that they had called the wrong person and would be removing my number from their list. when asked one more time for verification that my number would be removed from their list the tone of her voice became rather snotty before ending the call.

the experience made me rather angry that they were calling the wrong individual and giving me such and attitude as if the mistake were my fault and not theirs.

Received a call from this number from Mrs. Roberts who said she was calling from Deleware and looking for some help to get a message to my neighbor.  She told me the neighbor's name and started to give his address, and I told her I didn't know who he was.  She said thanks anyway and hung up.  The thing that bothers me is that she knew MY name and called on my unlisted line.

302-283-2800 has been calling both me and my mother for a charge of $1200 on a Verizon account that they won't give us any info about.  My mom lives in PR and I in FL, and they have called numerous times today.  I asked what account they were calling about, who was on the account, etc. and was hung up on.  They said mom's employment was at a job she hasn't worked at for over 25 years.  They sound really fishy.  If they call again, we are directing them to our lawyer as all of our accounts are squared away.

Demanded to speak to my son.  He does not live here.  Was told to has him  or his lawyer contact this number.  Would not tell me the nature of the business other than say it was a legal matter.  Very harassing woman on the line.

Nasty and dirty debt collections agency (scam artist)

I just got a call from this number. I never answer calls from a number I do not recognize, I let it go to voice-mail (I figure if its important, they will leave a message). Even though the name for the Caller ID shows IXC COMM, the guy on the voice mail says he is from Sims Associates. He has our names (my husband's and my) right, but I'm still not going to call him back. The voice-mail he left consists of the following (with the "case number" and our real names left out):
This message is for [name] or [name], uh, This is Bob Foster contacting you from Sims Associates. Either one of you needs to call me back today it is very important that I speak to you, about an important business matter that you two have with my office. You can return my call back at 866-572-8788. Also when you call back please refer to file number [number]. [repeats file number]. This is Bob Foster contacting you from Sims Associates. Thank you.
I refuse to call back, and if they call me back and I feel like answering the phone, I will record the call. I also have a very detailed, easily accessible caller ID list and I get an email with the voice-mail attachment from my phone company when I get a new one. (In other words, I'm planing for them to leave a data trail to prove that they were harassing me... if they call back).
Also, I believe my husband has requested a certified letter from them proving that they own the debt and what the debt is about. Its been months, and no letter. Hrmm....

Got a call from Alex Richards - no 302-283-2800 ext 2074. Told my husband my name is on a piece of property with my brother Paul Rimsky. Hope it is worth millions as I dont have a brother Paul. LOL I have asked these people a million times to stop calling me - yet they insist. They say strange things but actually I think it is amusing. Sick as this may sound I am beginning to enjoy playing "MIND" games - you cant fix stupid. It is so easy as they are not smart. My house is paid in full, have no credit cards, no car loans, make awesome money.......thanks but no thanks on the property..........I have a nice 5 acre parcel.

Just got a call from a company the caller referred to as "Simms",  302 283 2800, she was calling for my ex and said "they were told he had lawer representing him in a metter from 2009 and just need his lawer info"  I told her he wasn't even in the country in 2009!  I asked how she had my cell # and she said she just needed my ex's info to make a settlement offer on an accident.  Googled the # which led me to here, glad I didn't give her any info!

I received a call on 5/20/11 at 11:52 a.m. and no message was left on my answering machine.  The phone number is (302) 283-0686.  They just hung up.  I then called back at 12:05 p.m. and a voice came on saying, "The number I dialed is not in service."  I do not appreciate these hang-ups as they are quite annoying.  What can I do about this matter?

I use to work for them and they let me go after I reported sexual harassment. I have extensive documents of all my encounters with HR. Never could find a lawyer to take my case and this was just in September of this year..
