My home phone got a call Tuesday afternoon, 5/8/12, while I was at work. My caller ID says "Renovation Help". The answering machine had kicked in, but there was no message. I live in Wisconsin and we are having a recall election for the Governor, but today is the primary and it is kind of late in the day to be influencing the vote.

Renovation Scam, they simply call to establish this is an live number, then sell your number to numerous telemarketing lists.  Yes, file a complaint with the Do-Not-Call list, but better to file an online complaint form directly with the FCC, if they get enough complaints about a caller, they will act.  Save the link to complain about other scammers and pass to your contacts to use as well.

They called at our office today.  The guy asked for the president.  I told him he wasnt in.  He wanted someone else so I hung up.  He called back and told me to F*** off.  Then he told me to go to h***, b****.  Nice.

Keep getting calls from this number weekly and they want to speak to someone that handles the telephone service decisions.  It is a company called VOIP.  They are selling residential and business discount telephone services.  Kind of like Vonage.  This foreign gal that I can't understand half the time, keeps calling asking for our business owner.  I keep giving her excuses, and you'd think she'd take the fint, but she doesn't.  I got on line and looked up their website and got into the Live Chat area under "Contact Us" and left a message that I would like to be removed from their telemarketing service immediately and gave them the number that was calling me and my number.  We'll see what happens.  Probably nothiing.  Our business is kind of slow right now and pretty much everytime the phone rings any more, it is someone selling something.  After 40 years of administrative services, I am becoming very frustrated with these types of calls.  There should be some kind of law that can put a stop to it.  It's actually a form of harrassment.  Because you have done nothing to instigate the call except to be in business.  If we want the service, we should be able to make the decsion as to whether we want to make contact with these idiots.  I feel sorry for these people that can't get a job doing anything else.  I know it maust be frustrating to them to gt hung up on, and cussed out on a regular basis.  And they have to 'produce" to keep their job.  There should be absolutely NO phone, fax or walk in solicitations allowed.  I can't believe some of these comments where these consumers are threatened by the telemarketer for not talkign to them.

No answer. I think this is an autodiler. Aren't those illegal? I AM onthe do not call list.

Got a call from this number and the caller id is one of those v something numbers.

Received call from this number they did not leave a message and they do not answer when you call back.  Called ID shows Member Services.

This random number calls, I didn't pick up, and it doesn't leave a message.

I keep getting calls from this number 1 (302) 703-0743 stating they are from the Mayors Group and that they want me to call them in regard of a family member(does not exist) and that I will need a lawyer.
